1. Hi everyone, I am a obj-c/c++ programmer. In the past my macbook pro got stollen allready two times. The biggest problem is that when the harddrive is removed, the anti-theft software is gone. I am researching right now if there's a possiblity to modify my firmware and add a plist file that's installed when the OS is installed. I want to know if EFI (where all the plists are) is in the firmware and how to modify that. I am thinking to make a plist file in the EFI of a mac that sends data to a server when asked. And I want to know if there's allready some research about this topic.
2. Hi, I have a problem with my hackintosh. It sometimes stops using the USB port. As far as I understand.. after some time, there is no communication anymore with the USB devices after a certain time. I'm using 10.7.2 Here's my USB specs: Host Controller Location: Built-in USB interface Control File Host Controller: AppleUSBEHCI PCI device code: 0x1c26 PCI revision code: 0x0005 PCI Manufacturer Code: 0x8086 Bus number: 0x1d hub: Product code: 0x0024 Manufacturer Code: 0x8087 (Intel Corporation) Version: 0.00 Speed: Up to 480 Mb / sec Location Code: 0x1d100000 / 2 Available current (mA): 500 Required current (mA): 0 After a random amount of time, the usb device is unusable, but the system doesn't crash. Now I have a kernel panic after some rebooting, without closing right. Now I cannot boot without using cpus=1 Processor 3,29 GHz Intel Core i3 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 GeForce 210 1024 MB Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74) Next to this, I don't have any other devices connected. After reinstalling, the problems are solved for a while and I can boot normally.
3. I have the same problem. I don't have the same system, but i have the same soundcard in my AAO D250 netbook. grtz
4. Acer ONE D250 + iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition

Hi, i've allready made an guide. http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtop...=14&t=19193 It's not the most efficient way to install, but it worked for me
5. Its easier to download a allready made ISO from one website I used iAtkos and iDeneb. Making custom isos is for the more advanced users. This is an example of making a bootable USB drive with both ISOs to install Leopard. Download these ones: Ideneb v1.6 lite editon ISO Iatkos v7 ISO (for DSMOS and GMA 950) Chameleon 2.0-RC2-r640 package And do this: - download both Ideneb v1.6 lite edition and Iatkos v7 ISO images - Use an usb drive with at least 16 gigabytes of space - At first i had a problem with mounting the image (i don't know for sure if it was the problem of the Images or because i installed Toast 9 titanium. Toast 9 adds some extra support for certain images). - I've mounted the images by double clicking on them. After that i started applications>utilities>diskutility - select the harddisk on the left and then select partiton. Click then on main partition and select 2 partitons. make every partiton atleast 8 gigabytes. - Then click restore and drag as source the opened ISO of Iatkos v7 and as goal parition 1. After setting it back (7 minutes) the whole image is going to be on the partiton - repeat this process for the second partiton and with the Ideneb iso. - Now start up the Chameleon package and change the install drive. DON'T FORGET THIS, OR ELSE YOU WILL {censored} UP YOUR HARDDRIVE. Select the Ideneb v1.6 partition of the drive you restored the iso to. Failed install is good. If Leopard doesn't work on your system, try older versions, for instance 10.4.11 by XXX. I have a Asus T-2P system that doesn't have much Leopard support. Have fun!
6. Packard Bell Dot M 11.6"LED ATOM Z520

Did anyone tried to install the normal leopard first?
7. Hi, there are allot of people offering this card on Ebay. It is nice to expand your netbook with, so that it has some extra HD decoder capabilities. Features * Single-lane mini-card v1.1 compliant with Clock * Request and ASPM support * Memory-to-memory video decode * Multi-standard HD video decoder - H.264/AVC HP at L4.1 1080i, 40 Mbps - SMPTE VC-1 AP at L3 1080i, 40 Mbps - H.264/AVC HP at L3.2 720p - H.264/AVC HP at L3.0 480i - MPEG-2 MP @ ML - MPEG-2 MP @ HL * Uncompressed video output - YUV 4:2:0/4:2:2 - NV12/YUY2/UYVY YCbCr format support - SD, 720p, 1080i, 1080p support * Strong media security - AES encryption and decryption engine - Encrypted elementary stream compressed input - Firmware verification via digital signature I don't think this is ever going to be supported by OSX86. They didn't even make a move towards Linux/FreeBSD support. I've read on some AppleTV user forums, that this would be a nice upgrade for their system and that they wanted to use people from the OSX86 project to work on this matter.
8. Why? - Intel Atom N280 dualcore processor - 1280x720 resolution (ideal for HD movies) - 6 cell battery for long life without charging. - bluetooth and Wifi built in, so no PCI-E card. (extra slot for expansion) - No need to buy new Wifi card. Manual on install? http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtop...=14&t=19193
9. Hi, does somebody here has some experience with this adapter? This looks like a very nice adapter for a laptop or netbook, without buying internal cards.
10. SL on SAMSUNG N510 ION Netbook

Any luck on the crappy sound?
11. Acer Extensa 5635Z

hi, did you get OSX running on this laptop? I want to buy the same..
12. Finished installing on Asus T2-P Deluxe

Hey, no i did not succeed on installing 10.5 on this system. Tried different cards, but failed
13. Hi, the file you mentioned is for the setup screen and does have no influence on a fresh installation. When OS X is finished installing, it always makes this file. When you remove it the setup screen appears again. Try different versions of OS X. Maybe that helps
