  1. Shillohhh, I make advantage of Stinga11 Method (El Captain), notice that the kext X79USBHub.kext from Stinga11 is modifyed info.plist EHC2 HUB settings are added in xml code. I read your guide, I like the (Tiny SSDT) method, which is a good way in combination with Clover (SMBIOS Device settings) Also in combination I used the patched kext's from Stinga11, no problemo on EL Captain, Yosemite is history for me
  2. Hi, You probably already know that you can set [Enable/Disable] 1d26 and 1d2d (USB1/USB2) in Bios, check for sure maybe port 1d2d set to disable. I don't make advantage of propperty FIX_HPET and FIX_IPIC in config.plist (Clover) to get 1d2d working. My settings; Device (HPET) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0103")) Name (CRS, ResourceTemplate () { IRQNoFlags () {0} IRQNoFlags () {8} IRQNoFlags () {11} IRQNoFlags () {12} Memory32Fixed (ReadWrite, 0xFED00000, // Address Base 0x00000400, // Address Length _Y15) }) OperationRegion (HCNT, SystemMemory, HPTC, 0x04) Field (HCNT, DWordAcc, NoLock, Preserve) { HPTS, 2, , 5, HPTE, 1 } Method (_STA, 0, NotSerialized) { If (HPTE) { Return (0x0F) } Else { Return (Zero) } } Method (_CRS, 0, NotSerialized) { CreateDWordField (CRS, \_SB.PCI0.HPET._Y15._BAS, HTBS) Multiply (HPTS, 0x1000, Local0) Add (Local0, 0xFED00000, HTBS) Return (CRS) } }
  3. Silohhh, just for the record, your ssdt code working fine here, followed you DSDT guide, great!!!
  4. Hi, The Dummy kext's X79USBEHCIPCI.kext and X79USBHub.kextI I use are from the first Post #1 from Stinga11 10.11 MacPro6,1 USB FIX.zip suppose to be working on your System (Formula IV), if installed properly (SIP 0x28, 0x67) and SMBIOS is set to MacPro6,1. If you did a fresh install (EL Captain) like Silohhh suggested on Post #29 (easy way) leave out EHC1 and EHC2 from SSDT to succeed installation Boot, otherwise you don't pass KP (I experienced on Clover). After you have succeed installation of El Captain, you do a Post install, forget the SSDT drop it, only use the SSDT with CPU speedstep settings. Instead of SSDT you add the EHC1, EHC2 (replacing USBE, EUSB) settings in your DSDT like I suggest in Post #48, the same like you did in your attached SSDT (example). The fact about using a SSDT (Rampagedev) for USB2.0 config (strangely) is that only EHC1 > 1d26 is working I posted about before. I hope this wil help you further, let me know if you succeeds, Success!!!
  5. Hi, See the DSDT from Stinga11 at post #24 Rampage IV DSDT.zip which is the same as mine in case of USB2.0. Pay close attention tot Device (EHC1) (_ADR, 0x001D0000), and Device (EHC2) (_ADR, 0x001A0000) this represents te right USB2.0 configuration for corresponding ports EHC1 (PRT1.. PRT8), EHC2 (PRT1.. PRT6). The Dummy kext from Stinga11 add the support for hub EHC2, eventually ioreg should look like I posted in post #25. Formula IV USB2.0 hardware settings should be the same as Extreme IV. Succes!!!
  6. Suggested by tChibo in post #12 concerning MacPro6,1 FIX El Captain GM made by stinga11 Remarks: Bdmesg shows an Exception: "Info.plist patch - invalid Find/Replace data - skipping!". This is a Clover Exception due to Search and Replace strings have a different length. This method is not actually patching the Info.plist, but strings in a memory segment where info.plist stored (hexadecimal). So this method is only for replacing values in strings of the same length, for adding and delete xml code this way of Info.plist patching is no option. 0:169 0:000 KextToPatch 7: AppleUSBEHCIPCI (Usb 2.0 ehci patch) Info.plist patch - invalid Find/Replace data - skipping! 0:169 0:000 KextToPatch 8: AppleUSBHub (Usb 2.0 hub patch) Info.plist patch - invalid Find/Replace data - skipping!
  7. Hi stinga11, unfortunately i can't boot from your dsdt due to different hardware config, although i get the picture by understanding your dsdt what's need for properly working USB2.0. I'm digging trough to understand your FIX, for so far so good, thank you for you help, really appreciated. Update: Well this looks pretty cool to me
  8. Hi Stinga11, I have Rampage IV extreme, same as you i guess >> My config > System: Rampage IV Extreme, AMD MSI R9-290x, OSX El Captain Golden Master, Clover 3259 Im using ssdt from Andrew (Rampagedev) latest X79 Package in folder [R4E V2.2/AMD] june 22 >> here (official link from Rampagedev) Thanks for your help, which is great. PS> Without your fix, and only ssdt from Andrew (Rampagev) USB2.0 there is only working one USB Bus 1d26.
  9. Hi Andrew, Just let you know by experience (Beta testing) the ssdt from latest X79 from date august 9 (checked if ssdt is loaded) strangely seems to support only pci8086,1d26 with (latest) fix from stinga11, NOT pci8086,1d2d unfortunately. Situation occurs If I do a clean fresh install SMBios MacPro 6,1 OR follow the procedure (Stinga Fix) SMBios IMac13,2 >> SMBios MacPro6,1. Implement the ssdt XHCI, XHC2 (replacing EUSB, EUSE) in DSDT working for me. Greetings, Rob System: Rampage IV Extreme, AMD MSI R9-290x, OSX El Captain Golden Master, Clover 3259
  10. Hi tChibo, My R9-290x MSI Gaming edition working fine with Baladi FB and custom ATI Connector Patch (Clover) poked by myself, using LED Cinema Display trough mini Display Port), no special Clover v3265 needed. I'm on 3259 now System information actually reports "AMD Readon R9 290X 4096 MB" instead of "AMD Readon HD8xxx 4096 MB" But anyway thanks for your information, I will have a look trough but Russia native language is abracadabra for me Thank you very much stinga11, I will give this version a try, let you all know, at he moment default install (SMBios MacPro 6,1) I have only USB 2.0 PCI 8086, 1d26 working, PCI 8086, 1d2d not working. Update: Working now with latest FIX and IMac 13,2 >> MacPro 6,2 procedure (not exactly clear why first install under SMBios IMac13,2, must be something related to hardware profile i Gues?)
  11. Hi stinga11, I have Rampage Extreme IV motherboard with AMD R9-290x GPU. I have tried your DP1 Fix on OSX El Captain General Master, after reboot form IMac13,2 >> MacPro 6,1 unfortunately ther's no connection with the USB2.0 ports like mouse and keyb. (remotely connected) I cant's see nothing in sys info about USB 2.0 bus. (USB Device tree empty). Reading the reply from [david_osx] somethings telling me there is a update of your fix, where is it. If there is not, sorry for bothering you

  14. Thanks to all involved, especially Pike and Omni, without their help, it would not have been possible to solve PM on X79. Since december 2011 I had only 2 p-states (default 12, 32) under OS X, never thought there would be a breakthrough to have PM going on X79 since, but yeah dreams might come true For now I have PM going according to latest development, (still figure out some things) but AICPUPMI give me a good result on Asus Rampage IV, i7-3930k SB-E. 15. @Magnifico: Eventually it means that I have speedstep likewise turbo step going, with ssdt from @pike and AICPUPM from Omni, nothing more than those two. Intel Power Gadged shows the actual speedstep frequencies, and that says for me speedstep working.
