    Broadcom bcm43xx wireless driver [beta]

You successfully quoted your answer. And the usage was even on bold. How about: read the first post.
  2. Is is possible to rebrand other Broadcom chipsets aswell, such as BCM4313 with PCI ID 14e4:4727 to match Airport? Or does this only work with WMP300N's BCM4329? Thanks!

For people who have BCM4313 not working: Workaround: tiny Mini-WLAN USB Dongle and drivers (RTL8192CU). I'm seriously thinking of ordering. Now then, graphics are still an issue. Anyone know anything about sleep functionality etc?

I don't know if this helps, but here're some essential links related to Optimus-hacking under Linux. Maybe someone who understands kernels better can find something from these links what we can use: Linux Hybrid Graphics project's web site. Essential links & info Discrete ATI graphics and vga-switcheroo Method for changing active GPU's in Linux. Working in daily use. Hybrid Graphics Linux Launchpad Development site for acpi_calls. highly useful mailing list archive (also eee 1215N) Of course we don't care that much about switchable graphics, but maybe this gives ud idea how to take control of ion2 chipset? The bad thing is, the GPU switching is (as far as I understand) controlled by kernel component called vga-switcheroo, and sadly that's only under the pretty much latest 2.6.35.x kernels. And of course that shoots us, OSX users, in the leg.

In case someone finds it useful, here's my acpidump DSDT.dsl file created for the Hybrid Graphics Linux project. DSDT.txt I had to rename if from .dsl -> .txt to be able to upload.

I would personally be more than happy for just ion2 chipset, of course, we'd have to accept the loss in battery life, but hey, at least for me, Flash acceleration plays important role. I want to be able to watch 720p Youtube (minimum) Fullscreen. With integrated gma3150 it's not happening in Ubuntu, and of course in Windows with ion2's help, it's no problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but ion2 is by default "always on", this has been seen here, on the Hybrid Graphics Linux project's maling list. The ion2 chip drains power all the time unless not forced off. So in my theory, if we can get OSX to handle the graphics with ion2 we should be good? If it's all the time powered on, it should be only kext issue to get it to work?

Alright. Using boot CD and original SL disc is no problem for me since I can put external DVD drive to my 1215N. So no need to worry about USB-boot stuff. Though many users will most likely like that also So is your main objective to get the integrated gma3150 to work or are you trying to focus on ion2? It seems that gpu switching in OSX is something we can forget immediately, so as long as we get either to work, would be great. Does anyone know if Adobe's Flash supports GPU acceleration on any other GPUs than those that come in iMac/Macbooks etc? So in this case, ion2 preferably? Now just GPU with QI/CE and sleep to work and I'd be ready to hit OSX in this machine. I already have a wifi usb dongle waiting

Thanks, Sorry for being a bit newbie here, but how do I proceed with those files? At the moment I have Win7 and Ubuntu on that machine, but I'm planning to wipe it clean with SL. But I haven't installed SL on a netbook before, how do I proceed? I'll prepare USB stick with NBM for SL and install SL? And then install Chameleon? How about those files you posted? I hate being such a newbie. Well you gotta start learning hackintoshing from somewhere, right

The script file says "Supported chipsets:" "- Broadcom BCM4306 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN" "- Broadcom BCM4309 802.11 b Wireless LAN" "- Broadcom BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN" "- Broadcom BCM4320 b/g" "- Broadcom BCM4321 a/g/n" "- Broadcom BCM4324 802.11 a/b/g Wireless LAN" "- Broadcom BCM4325 802.11 a/b/g Wireless LAN" "- All Apple AirPortOne cards" So I suppose why bother? //Edit: Alright, I was being too aggressive, http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51725 here is more updated script, and it says it might support other chipsets as well //Edit2: It seems that BCM4313 with PCI ID 14e4:4727 will not be having luck any time soon I suppose http://www.osx86.es/?p=749 this doesn't work?
