  1. Lost BIOS in Acer Aspire 5750G

Notebooks don't always have a CMOS jumper like desktop. You should try to search for the CMOS battery on the motherboard, also if you would probably have to disassemble the whole notebook, and remove it for about 5 minutes, so the bios, remaining with no power, will return to the stock setting. Hope this helped ^^ Good luck
  2. Mountain Lion on acer 5920g

I forgot to say that I grave the version with the GeForce 8600m GS graphics card, not the one with the integrated or the ati graphics. So, the GeForce isn't working also with extra kext (natit / nvenabler etc...) ? 'cause I'm running snow leopard in 64bit mode with natit.kext to make the full graphics acceleration working and I also managed to install the nvidia cuda driver. And honestly I don't really mind about the 3d graphics acceleration, I'll probably use my hackintosh only for Xcode. Thank u for your help! EDIT: sorry, I noticed that I wrote in the netbook section also if I'm talking about a notebook. I'm really sorry. Moderators, could you please move the thread? Thanks ^^
  3. Mountain Lion on acer 5920g

Hi, I'm trying to install Mountain Lion 10.8 on my Acer 5920g. I replaced the AppleACPIPlatform.kext and the IOPCIFamily.kext with the ones of snow leopard 10.6.8 (which I have now working on this laptop) to go past the PCI Configuration Begin error, but now I'm stuck on ''Still waiting for root device''. I've already tried the ''UseKernelCache=No'' and ''npci=0x2000'' but without results. Does someone have a solution for this problem?
  4. I'm already using the svn version of chameleon... I tried both Chameleon and Chimera, but with no luck: i still got the same error.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm trying to install Mountain Lion on my Acer Aspire 5920g, which has the following specs: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 GPU: Geforce 8600M GS RAM: 2x 1GB Hynix DDR2 I made the usb stick containing the needed files to install Mountain Lion (also my patched DSDT, which works like a charm with Snow Leopard), but I'm having a problem: if I boot only with -v I'm stuck on "[PCI Configuration End]", but if I boot with -v USBBusFix=Yes I get stuck on this error (the one in the screenshot) I have exactly the same problem with Lion, but I can install snow leopard without problems (from DVD). I think that this is a USB problem 'cause I had a problem depending by USB also with snow leopard installed on a USB hard drive: snow leopard used to power off the usb during the boot, so the boot used to stop, but i fixed this using the "USBBusFix=Yes" at booting. I hope someone can help me, Thank you!
  6. Introduce yourself.

HI! My real name is Giovanni and I'm a 16 y.o. guy from Italy! I've already successfully installed Snow Leopard on my lappy (Acer 5920G), but now I'm looking forward to install Mountain Lion 'cause I need at least Lion to use the last version of xCode (yeah, I'm a noob iOS dev who doesn't want to buy an original mac only to develop some simple free software on iOS). I'm having some trouble with Mountain Lion, so I hope to find some help here!
