1. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Thanks! I'll try a bin-patched AppleHDA for 10.6.8
2. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Really? So what's my best solution then? Is there nothing I can do? I tried VoodooHDA but the volume was too low for anything to be heard...
3. DSDT Auto-Patcher

But I AM! I'm using Macman's ALC8xx legacy audio kext in /extra/extensions... and I'm using 10.6.2's AppleHDA.kext (HDA rollback in #####)!
4. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Audio isn't working, but shows up in sys profiler... "Intel High Definition Audio: Audio ID: 889 " kextstat: http://pastebin.com/GQGkmZJB xian
5. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I'm testing it out right now, thank you so much man!
6. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Hey Mald0n... I've been trying for 2 weeks to get my DSDT patched for CMOS reset fix, OS Emu, HPET fix, sleep/shutdown and also to no avail to get my ALC889 audio working... I've tried #####, with DSDT, with HDAEnabler, I've also tried VoodooHDA (with removed HDAEnablers and AppleHDA of course) and nothing works. I can't get more than a simple Intel Audio with ID 889 in system profiler, and while using DSDT patches I get nothing. I also tried bin patched AppleHDA.kexts from 10.6.3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10.6.8. I've tried at least 7 different DSDT patches, and I still haven't found a solution. My motherboard is an AMD Gigabyte board (GA-790FXTA-UD5) and is revision 1.0. Processor: AMD Phenom II x2 545 -> working 6 GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHz: Corsair and G.Skill -> only 4GB working with legacy_kernel for 32 bit apps South Bridge: SB750 (6 SATA II ports, 1 PATA channel) -> working North bridge: 790FX (PCI-E 2.0 x16) -> using ATI HD 6870 with non-functional HDMI audio Audio chipset: ALC889 (with Dolby HD) -> not working Ethernet : 2x Realtek 8111D -> working eSATA: JMicron 3683 -> working USB 3.0: Reneses -> working SATA 3.0: Marvell SE9128 (2 SATA III ports) -> working 1394a (firewire): built-in -> working Audio has : 6 ports and supports 7.1 audio (with mic-in, line-in, and 4 stereo outputs) Everything works except for CMOS reset, other necessary fixes, sleep, shutdown, restart, and most of all... audio (nor ALC889 nor HDMI). If you could help me out that would be great! Thanks I've uploaded a clean DSDT from the latest beta bios I'm using (F3J) and using your tool! -xian1243 send_me.zip
7. I just want to let you know, that your core is NOT disabled. When unknown CPU comes up in about this mac, it just means that your SMBIOS kext isn't working right. It has nothing to do with CPU usage, it's merely info on your CPU. Don't worry. More proof: if it was disabled, your boot.plist would be different. Solution for the About this mac problem: install Chameleon RC2 bootloader (google search Chameleon EFI, it's easy to find), install that to your Leopard partition, and if it still doesn't work, look in /System/Library/Extensions for something like SMBIOSEFI.kext, which is conflicting. Delete it, and reboot with the -f flag. DO NOT DELETE SMBIOS.KEXT. That is the normal system kext which you need for Leopard to work. If you have any questions, I'd be sure to answer them, and I'm sure someone else here can help too. Like I said, don't worry about it showing unknown in about this mac, YOU ARE USING 2 CORES ALREADY. Regards, Chris EDIT: I just noticed you already have Chameleon, so just look for the kext that is causing the problems. Normally Chameleon injects that info but if a custom SMBIOS EFI kext is in there it won't work.
8. I have a similar problem trying to install iDeneb v1.3, I don't have nforce, but I chose iDeneb for the custom Marvell IDE drivers. (drive not showin up in disk util + still waiting for root device) If you go to the iDeneb site, I believe there is an nForce ppf patch for your iso. I'm not sure how it's different, but what the heck, give it a go! EDIT: http://ideneb.insanelymac.net/index.php/la...n/homepage.html It's on the front page. EDIT2: Just gave a look, apparently it's for iDeneb v1.3, you may want to try that iso, with the patch on the site, I don't think it will work with v1.
9. iDeneb v1.3 problem

bump
10. iDeneb v1.3 problem

I am sure somebody else has had this problem, I really could use some help, Thanks Bump
11. iDeneb v1.3 problem

I tried leo4all v3, all was fine, until I got to disk utility, and my IDE hard drive didn't show up. So I did a little research and found out the iDeneb had the custom driver for Marvell IDE, tried booting it (v1.3) and got the famous "Still waiting for root device" error. I have tried all available options in the bios, and all different jumper setups. (Bios dosen't have achi setting) For my rig's specs, see my signature. Any help would be appreciated.

14. Nvidia Riva 128

15. Nvidia Riva 128

Hey, just wondering if there is a way to use natit with the riva 128 (just for fun of coarse), ive already installed natit on a fresh insatll but it says no kext loaded... so either i have to edit natit perhaps or maybe apples drivers dont support it lol, i doubt they would anyways but whatever. anyways could someone maybe help me get this going? thanks upbumpo
