  1. Hello everyone, I have a fully working Hackintosh running 10.6.6. But, there is one problem from making this a 100% working Mac. My graphics. I have a XFX Radeon HD 5450 512MB DDR3 graphics card. I have followed many tutorials like this. Here is my comment of what I actually need help on: Any help is well appreciated! Thanks!
  2. ATI Radeon HD 5450 Working On Snow Leopard

I have 10.6.6 installed and I followed all the steps step by step. I have a few problems. When I jumped to 10.6.6 from 10.6.4, the Graphics update wouldn't install at all. Then, after editing my Apple plist file with the graphics 1280x1024x32 it will boot properly, but after the Apple logo on boot it just turns off the display. But the OS is working underneath, I can press F12 and the disk drive opens, so WTH? Any ideas?
  3. FSB Verification Error

Fixed it! For all people with the same problem, disable "CE1 Support" in your BIOS! And I also changed by FSB Speeds (advanced overclocking on motherboard) and changed it to 200MHz.
  4. FSB Verification Error

Yes, I have used the mod one and the plain vanilla one as well.
  5. FSB Verification Error

I have a problem that makes no sense to me. A few days ago I had a working retail 10.6 install. And I needed to reinstall SL again. And I am using the nawcom mod cd, and the Empire EFI disk with the same error results. My problem is this happens from the boot disk, and OS X isn't even on the hard drive. I have also used many boot flags such as -v, -x, cpus=1, arch=i386, -force64, maxmem=4096, busratio=18, and none of them work. Here is the log (took forever to type, had to copy from desktop to laptop, if there is a mistake, sorry!): nvphash=4095 PAE enabled rtclock_init: Taking bus ratio path 3 (AMD Phenom) rtclock_init: Phenom MSR 0xc000010071 returned: 0c140001414 TSC: Reported FSB: 200.0000MHz, corrected FSB: 177.774674MHz TSC: Verification of clock speed failed. 6. Snow Leopard on a Gateway NV53

Great Tutorial. I have run into a few problems. I have got mostly everything working. I am tempted just to ditch Mac on my laptop, go to Windows, and stay on it. But, If I can get everything working, I will stay with Mac. If not, welcome back Windows 7. 1.) Screen Res stays at 1024 x 768, not 1366 x 768 2.) Sound keeps crashing with Photobooth Open 3.) I used the Boot-Loader you talked about, and when I go to boot up Mac OS X, I get a kernel panic. The last thing the terminal- like thing is the System Uptime in Nanoseconds. I can use Empire EFI, and boot up fine. But, I can't bring a CD with me 24/7 (My DVD drive is REALLY loud). 4.) It says I have 1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM 5.) I had to delete everything off my HDD (Yes, the hidden recovery partition, but luckly I ordered the recovery DVD's from Gateway) and get rid of MBR? I can't dual boot Mac and Windows. Gateway NV5378u
  7. Can I run mac OS X on my A505-S6033?

I am new to this stuff, but I beleve it is possible to get that kind of processor to work. The new iMac's have Core i7's in them, but there is all kinds of Mac distros you can find out there. iAKOTOS, iPC, iDENAB, the real Mac OS X dvds (needs patching), and a few others. I am currently trying to dual boot Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6, but use this guide (It may work, hopefully) I have below. Hope I was some help to you. I'm a Noobie. Snow Leopard on Gateway NV53 series Gateway NV5378u: AMD Athlon II X2 M320 2.1GHz 4GB DDR2 Ram 333MHz 500GB SATA HDD 7200RPM 15.6 Widescreen LCD Backlit Display HD 720p Windows 7 Professional x64
