  1. Do it the inexpensive way: you can connect a cheap USB webcam, mask the lens if you want and use its microphone.
  2. Should i leave her?

Why don't you say these thing to her?
  3. Looks like you had a current spike. Did you have your iMac plugged into a UPS? Or into a current stabilizer? I have an identical iMac with logic board dead but functioning power supply, video card, etc., I can sell you the power supply for less of that sum if you want but I have to arrange the shipping and I don't know how much it will cost. Where in the world are you?
  4. Firewire Problems on an iMac...

I've had similar problems with my FW800 Drobo, resolved simply changing the FW cable that was defective.
  5. [WANTED] Mac Pro or Powermac G5 case for mod!

Ciao, di dove sei? Ho un case di un Dual G5 immacolato ma onestamente contavo di darlo via a qualcosina di più…
  6. How to compile without license ?

If it is an .app you can install "INSTALLOUS" from Cydia, put your app in /var/mobile/Documents/Installous/Downloads using iPhone Explorer, and install it using Installous. Remember to transfer purchases using iTunes, otherwise it will be deleted next time you sync.
  7. OS X Security

Absolutely not. To be really sure to have your PC clean and not infected with spam, viruses, spyware and adware you should continue using Windows, the Most Secure OS In The World®.
  8. iMac G3 M4984 "prohibited sign"

You have two choices: 1. Hold down OPTION (ALT) during boot, it should boot into 9, and if it doesn't work try 2. Hold down CMD + OPT (Apple+ALT) during boot
  9. Write-enable Write Protected NTFS Drives

If you're on Snow Leopard, just search for SL-NTFS on Macupdate.com
  10. iMac i7 Display: What's the PPI?

    About 110 PPI afaik
  11. Edit the file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and insert arch=x86_64 into the Kernel Flags field.
  12. WEP Password Recovery/Intercept

Try Kismac, you can find it on MacUpdate.com
  13. Reset lost user password

yes, I don't know where is the problem booting from second drive in single user mode and change the password, but I think you can boot from first drive and chroot to the second to change its pass
  14. Reset lost user password

As you don't need any password when you are in single user mode, you only need to boot from your first drive and: #mount -uw / #passwd yourusername #reboot
  15. [TOTALLY VANILLA] Retail Snow Leopard

I tried making an update to 10.6.2 and now I receive a "Mismatch between kernel and cpu pm" and I don't know how to resolve it. It's impossible to do a search on the board and I really need it. My system was a totally vanilla installation with less than 10 extensions in the EFI partition. Can anyone help me? I can place the drive in a USB box and I have access to another mac if I need to move some kexts around. Regards
