  1. Update ML 10.8.2

Hi chaps! Since 10.8.0 there was no CMOS reset after sleep but after the 10.8.2 update I had to patch my AppleRTC . Now, everything seems to be right. Cheers!
  2. No Audio After 10.8.2 Update

Salut Fantomas! Excusez-moi for skipping courtesies and going directly to the subject but we gorillas usually tend to be quite straightforward. The 10.8.1 update went so easy with no troubles at all while the 10.8.2 required a bit of post-install action. Over the past 2 days I have noticed that many people had this issue elsewhere and were seeking help. Hence my post was addressing the obvious, for you, the experts. I hope my post will prove helpful to those less skilled. I wish you all a pleasant weekend! Cheers old chaps!
  3. On my EP45-DS3 with ALC889a/885 I use DSDT and patched AppleHDA. After the 10.8.2 update the audio has vanished but, the full functionality has been restored by just re-installing the AppleHDA in S/L/E. Therefore, my advice is to back-up the patched AppleHDA before installing the 10.8.2. update and re-installing it after the update.
  4. CMOS Resets by AppleRTC.kext

Indeed! On GA-EP45-DS3 (F9) I have used just custom DSDT.aml, FakeSMC, AppleHDA rollback and RealtekRTL81xx kexts. There was no need to patch AppleRTC. The system with 10.8.1 is fully functional and stable. To verify the rersult, I have completely reinstalled the system over the weekend. Regards
  5. I have my system based on GA-EP45-DS3 working flawlessly including sleep, speedstep and airport. MB: GA-EP45-DS3 (BIOS F9) Audio: AppleHDA Rollback Ethernet: Lnx2Mac’s RealtekRTL81xx Etherner v0.0.90 for RTL8168C/8111C Geforce 9500GT, 1024MB, GraphicEnabler Kexts: just FakeSMC.kext in /S/L/E and patched AppleRTC from Lion in /S/L/E DSDT: F9 – Tested before on SL and Lion, was working flawlessly Airport: In ML, support for my good old SMCWPCIT-G was abandoned and editing of IO80211Family.kext doesn’t work anymore. Therefore, I have looked into ML IO80211Familly.kext to verify which cards were supported. I have found that Atheros AR5007 (AR5416+AR2133) with vendor ID 168C and device ID 23 is supported. Simple solution was to invested extra 30 EUR for Canyon CNP-WF511N2 which worked OOB. Great Guide! Thanks!
