  1. [Guide] Mac OS 10.5.7 on Acer Aspire 5720G

I could not find it. Could you please send me the link so I post it here? Thanks!
  2. Hello! I have successfully installed Mac OS (iAtkos 7.0) on my Acer Aspire 5720G. The sound is working perfectly internal speakers, external speakers, even the external volume control works, but the built-in microphone is not working. Any idea how to solve this issue? I've been searching on the forum but still no solution found. Thanks in advance! Best regards, Agustín
  3. I was endly able to install it on my notebook! Hope this helps other users with the same one: First I tried with iDeneb 1.3 and it did not work. The installation was performed successfully but at reboot the built-in keyboard was not detected. After that I tried with iAtkos 7.0 with the default options, with the same outcome. At last, with the latter, I was able to install it by selecting the following options: Extras DSDT Kernel 9.5.0 Disabler Voodoo PS/2 USB AHCI Intel SATA/IDE OHR Speedstep Voodoo HDA Audio Driver Reboot fix The system works really smoothly. The only devices which were not detected where the LAN and the WLAN adapters but I just solved it by buying a USB-WiFi adapter for only €10 At the beginning the video was having some problems, specially when dragging windows, but I was able to solve this by installing NVKush. You can get in on his page. Greets!
  4. Acer Laptop users (Intel).

Success I was able to install Kallyway 10.5.2 on a Acer Aspire 5720G...allthough the WiFi, Audio and onboard LAN and not recognised (yet!). Thanks for the post!
  5. I have the same machine and I was able to boot the installer correctly but I have another problem: there is some problem with the HDD and all the partitions and freespace appear "grey" (i.e., I can not edit, delete, create partitions) so I am right now in a dead end Greetings, Agustín
  6. [HowTo] Install on an Intel D102GGC2 MoBo

That I don't know...although I have a SATA disk I did not even try to have it recognized because I don´t want MacOS to be playing with my Windows partition...
  7. [HowTo] Install on an Intel D102GGC2 MoBo

Yup, I know that the only differ in the DDR module but I've read several reports saying that JaS 10.4.5 works with sound and ethernet out of the box on D101GGC and I tried JaS 10.4.5 and 10.4.6 on my 102GGC2 and I can guarantee you that neither sound nor onboard network work. On the other side, on my Myzaar 10.4.5 I could make both sound and ethernet work but with some tweaking.
  8. [HowTo] Install on an Intel D102GGC2 MoBo

    One think I don't have clear...do you have a D101GGC or a D102GGC2 Motherboard?
  9. [HowTo] Install on an Intel D102GGC2 MoBo

Yes, it happens from time to time, I turn on the machine and the mouse is not detected but that is solved just by rebooting. So you say that with that distribution everything is working, good, I'll give it a try. Did the onboard networking card work out of the box or did you have to use any old drivers? What about the performance, is it good? Thanks

No idea...I'm using PS2 mouse. Try buying an adapter.
  11. Hello: After days and days of research, I was able to have a fully functional OS X installation on my Intel D102GGC2 Motherboard. Here are some tips and conclusions for those how want to give it a try. This is not a detailed "how-to" for newbies, just some recommendations and tricks, specially for making the HDD controller work at a decent speed and for enabling the audio: I've tried 5 different distributions. If you want to have a 90% functional system (I could not achieve 100%) I recommend installing "Myzar 10.4.5". When installing, select the 10.4.5 Update. In order to be able to boot the CD, you need to completely disable USB on the BIOS. If you want you can later remove the two IOUSB*.kext extensions and switch it back on. You won't be able to use USB on OS X but yes on Windows. The onboard ethernet card works correctly with Myzar 10.4.5 but not with newer JaS installations. I did not tried a SATA disc, just an old IDE one. To give your system a HUGE performance boost, just overwrite the IOATAFamily extension with the one on JaS 10.4.6 Installation CD (inside the Essentials.pkg file; extract with Pacifist). To enable the sound, just replace the the ID's in AppleAzaliaAudio.kext (0x10ec0883 and 0x437b1002, search though the forum for detailed explanations). In order for the extension to work correctly, you need to edit the IOAudioFamily extension and remove the USB dependency line. Hope this helps and saves you from hours and hours of research.
  12. Realtek 8168/8111 solution

Hi! I've tried installing your driver on 10.4.7 but I could not make it work correctly. My NIC is a Realtek 8101L, built onboard in a Intel D102GGC2 MoBo. I could make this adapter work with older distros (Myzaar 10.4.5, detected as Realtek 8139) but with JaS 10.4.6 and 10.4.7 it's not working. The .kext is loaded but in the Networking Preferences panel the built-in adapter appears as disabled (greyed out). Now, I was trying to make it work in JaS 10.4.6. First of all, the default driver was loaded. So, what I did is delete the AppleRealtek8139.kext from the Extensions folder and then overwrite IONetworkingFamily.kext with a copy of it with the RTL8139 extension deleted. Then, I could make your extension load into memory (it appears on the System Profiler) but still under Networking my built-in adapter is disabled. Is there any way of debugging or something, so as to know what went wrong? Thanks for your time,
  13. New desktop macs are Intel Xeons!

I've got one of those motherboards (D102GGC2) but the onboard NIC is not working with MacOS 10.4.5 and newer (it does though with older versions) and the audio card is not detected either
  14. RTL8139 not working

Hi: Is not that simple, I've already tried loading the extension from an older version but still doesn't work. The problem is that when I installed JaS 10.4.6, I don't know why, there are two copies of AppleRealtek8139.kext copied, one inside the IONetworkingFamily.kext and one just copied to the Extensions folder. I already tried using an old one but it does not work.
  15. Myzar and SSE3

Hi! I will try to give all the information I can to see if any of you guys can help me out solve this little issue: 1.- I have successfully installed Myzar 10.4.5. I've checked out and the kernel installed has 5 patches applied to it, including AMD and SSE3. When installing, I can't customize the patch, I just have an option to select "Maxxuss Patches", just yes (all) or no. 2.- I've tried with JaS 10.4.6 and .7 and it works, much faster than Myzar, but the network adapter is not recognized. Believe me I tried everything, changing PCI codes, using old extensions, etc. JaS it's just not an option for me. Also tried with another NIC adapter (RTL8139, should be 200% compatible) but doesn't work. But, remember, my NIC adapter IS recognized and works perfectly with Myzar 10.4.5. My problem is I need to use Myzar 10.4.5 ('cause, although it's slower, it detects the net card correctly) *but* I want to "undo" the AMD and SSE3 patches, I believe that's the cause why it's so much slower than JaS, which was installed only for an SSE3 Intel. Can anyone help me out "undoing" the applied patches on Myzar? I've tried copying the kernel from JaS but it just does not boot, it dies in an infite loop trying and retrying to load the login window but just fails. I've tried what is explained here (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18929) but when I apply the patches script to the cpuid_patches.txt (after altering it) it just complains there is something wrong with the text file. And I tried with a kernel just patched with the "base" ppf but it just dies in that loop, trying to call the login window... Any suggestions/ideas are really welcome. Thanks in advance
