  1. Hi there! I have an HP Mini 110 that is currently loaded with Leopard. I thought that I had everything working pretty well, but I recently restarted and my boot up screen hangs on the following thing: cannon resolve dependencies for kernel extension /system/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleACPITherme.kext Apple MCEDriver :: (MacPro 2,1) :: probe fails Does anyone have a clue what is going on? I have a feeling it has to do with kexts but I'm not sure how to fix it. Thanks!
  2. Cisco VPN Question

Oh that was totally it. Thank you so much!
  3. Cisco VPN Question

Hi Everyone, I just installed Snow Leopard on an i5 machine and everything works great but I am having issues trying to get my cisco vpn client to work. This is definitely an issue with their software see: http://www.anders.com/cms/192/CiscoVPN/Err...ommunicate.with There are a bunch of ways to go about trying to fix it, but I can't get any of them to work. What has me curious though is that since cisco installs a kext that it uses for this process, is it possible that the reason why its not working is the fact that I have a hackintosh? I ask because I get an error like this: (kernel) Kext com.cisco.nke.ipsec not found for unload request. Failed to unload com.cisco.nke.ipsec - (libkern/kext) not found. Starting Cisco Systems VPN Driver /System/Library/Extensions/CiscoVPN.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) requested architecture/executable not found; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8). What do you think? Is this a standard Cisco problem or could it be related to my build? Thanks for your help!
  4. [GUIDE] HP Mini 110

I have a HP Mini 110 1125NR that has working wifi in OS 10.5.5. I am trying to install snow leopard now to see how that goes. I hope that it won't be too different. UPDATE: Everything works perfectly except wifi and ethernet. I just bought a broadcom card so we'll see how that goes.
  5. Hi Everyone, There are some great guides on this site for getting a non time capsule network drive working with time machine: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=184462 I am curious what the easiest NAS solution would be to get working. I was looking at the WD mybook world edition, but I didn't know if something by buffalo, OWC, or iomega would be better. Mybook World: http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Netw...cm_cr_pr_sims_t OWC: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/MSU2NAS/ Iomega: http://www.amazon.com/Iomega-Network-Attac...7/dp/B001OC5JM2 Buffalo: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Buffalo/LSCH10TL/ Thanks for your help! EDIT: I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum section. Sorry about that!
