  1. Hello! I installed iAtkos L2 on a USB flash drive, and upon trying to boot, I get stuck on the Apple logo with the loading wheel. Verbose mode stops at BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory launchctl: Dubious ownership on file (skipping): /Library/LaunchDaemons launchctl: Dubious ownership on file (skipping): /System/Library/LaunchDaemons I repaired permissions using DiskUtility on my macbook but that did not solve the problem. Neither did safe mode, single user mode, etc. If no one has a solution I will just try another install, but I'm getting tired of downloading and installing OSs. Also, I do not have a DVD drive, as of now USB is my only option for booting.
  2. Hello all, I am starting a Power Mac G5 hackintosh. I ordered the case on eBay (only $62 for those interested). It has not arrived but when it does pictures will be included, as well as work to date. Here is the current hardware I'm planning on using Intel® Core™ i5-2500 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ($209.99) GIGABYTE GA-H67MA-USB3-B3 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel® Motherboard ($109.99) **Special deal on Newegg for combining those only $299.99 total** On the fence as for video cards as I don't know much about picking them so if anyone could help me with a compatible one that would be fantastic! I really want good graphics as I am going to be gaming a lot.
  3. ADMtek NC100 Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet

I hate to bump but this download would help me out a ton so if you could post that that would be fantastic!
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but VMWare doesn't let you boot into a partition, it lets you running an operating system within your operating system... not sure I understand the question
  5. Ethernet not working

Thank you for the information. There are two lights underneath my ethernet, one stays orange, the other blinks orange. If I am getting an IP but still can't connect, how do I get my subnet, dns, etc. from my ISP?
  6. Hello, I installed iPortable Snow on my Dell Precision 360. Everything is working nicely except for the Ethernet. System Preferences>Network shows Ethernet is connected and has an IP Address, but when I try to view a web page safari tells me "You are not connected to the Internet." I'm assuming I need some kind of Ethernet driver but I am not familiar with this, could anyone help? Thanks
  7. Hey all, Using the guide found at http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required I managed to successfully install os x to my external hard drive. After the successful installation it told me to restart. So I restarted into the hard drive I installed the OS on, and I never get the loading screen. All I see is a white underscore on a black background, except for when I boot on my MacBook. Then it works perfectly. What did I do wrong? –During the installation, it required that the hard drive be GUID Partition Table. Is that what it's supposed to be? THANKS!
  8. Simplest Installation for my PC?

    Thanks so much, very helpful
  9. So I'm a newbie to this whole Hackintoshing thing. Well, I've been looking into it for a long time actually. And a few months ago I tried to get it running, but every time I got the clean disk error. I will probably get that again, but if I do I will just post it. Until then, I have an "HP Compaq d530 SFF (Small Form Factor)" If any other information is needed I will post I will probably also need help with what to check in the installation process.
  10. Just tried again with iDeneb, brand new DVD-RW. Same error. Could it be a problem with my hardware?
  11. So I tried installing iAtkos v7 with a DVD I've had prepared for a while. I got the clean disc error and figured it actually needed cleaning because it was rather dusty. Cleaned it properly, it didn't work, googled for it, heard it was a missburn? So I tried iDeneb and burnt it on the slowest speed possible, and I still get the error! i need help The error always happens a couple seconds into the installation, everything before that works fine.
  12. Thank you! I can't seem to get past the installation. With both iDeneb and iAtkos (iDeneb burned at slowest speed possible) I got the Dirty Disc please clean and try again notification. Help?
  13. I can't seem to get it to boot at all. I still get non-system disk or disk error when trying to boot from my flash drive. I'm using iAtkos v7 and i follow all instructions correctly, it just doesn't work.
