  1. Hello Sir! I'd like to ask for your help with a quick question. Right now, I have an Nvidia Go 7200 card that works with QE and is detected to have 32MB ram by system profiler. I did not use any kexts aside from the NVDANV40 from which the card works on, and graphics enabler. The problem though is the card is 128MB, not 32MB. Now, I would like to run Apple Final Cut Pro. I noticed that if I add NVInject and NvinjectGo kexts, the ram changes to 128MB (which is correct) and is even displayed as such on system profiler. Trouble arrives though when I open any app. All graphics app report that my card is not QE compatible (even if I have QE) and that my VRAM is 0 even if system profiler reports otherwise. These are what I did: 1) removed nvinject and let NVINJECTGO stay. NVINJECT GO did not load. 2) removed Nvinjectgo.kext and let Nvinject stay. Nothing happened. 32MB. 3) added device id to all kexts: Nvinject, NvinjectGo, and NVDANV40HAL Can you please help?
  2. Before anything else, I'd like to first state that I researched about this and even tried a few experiments myself. Now, the problem with my video card (I am on Snow Leopard) is that while I do get QE and CI with no problems at all except for a second of static here and there, is that I couldn't get the VRAM size to be recognized correctly. I have already inserted the dev id to NVRESMAN, NDANV40HAL.kext, and even GEFORCE.kext, Repaired Permissions and Extenions. but still to no avail? I would really appreciate to get the video card working with the correct VRAM size so that I could run Apple Final Cut Pro (I already decreased the minimum VRAM size of the app but to no avail) Can anyone please help? Thank you.

  4. Hello Everyone! I installed a copy of iPortable 10.6.2 and I'm trying to update it to 10.6.5 but everytime, I get a Kernel Panic. I tried REALLY REALLY hard to examine what the KP is but to no avail. Can anyone please help me out so that I can update and move on? P.S The KP happens 9 Minutes left to install finish. Ive attached the screenshot. Here are my system specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHZ 1.5 667 Memory 320 SATA HD Nvidia Go 7200 Webcam Broadcom WiFi card Intel ProVe LAN Thanks
  5. Already own a Mac part?

If you mean the migration assistant, then you should search for a help me about "skip migration assistant".
  6. Thanks for the reply I managed to get QE working already. I read the manual that came with iPortable and copied all the video kext files that were removed from the packaged and reinstalled Nvkush. It's working now. Problem is, certain software like Chess and Frontrow don't work and I don't know why. Any help here? I can't really use the Empire EFI + Snow Disc. Ive tried that before but either I get a KP or an ACPI platform error. This is the only thing that worked for me. And I checked the Extensions for SleepEnabler.kext. No file named like that there. Will still try to look for solutions but if you have any, Im willing to try anything. Thanks
  7. Hello and thank you very much for reading this! Now, I use a DV2000 Laptop with the following specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHZ 1.5 667 Memory 320 SATA HD Nvidia Go 7200 Webcam Broadcom WiFi card Intel ProVe LAN I got these working on an iDeneb 10.5.7 distro but would prefer Snow Leopard due to the iLife 11 and Facetime app. However, I have several questions to get my hackintosh working. 1) How do I get QE back? I used to have QE with the NVKush kext but Snow wont give me my QE now. -- Resolved. Problem is, certain software like Chess and Frontrow don't work and I don't know why. Any help here? (P.S. I DO have QE. Im sure. I just dont know why some apps won't work. Maybe a 64 bit crash or something?) 2) How do I safely update to 10.6.5? I tried the combo update but It wont give me anything but a kernel panic on my screen. I will try to change to mach_kernel and or legacy and see if that fixes it. I'm trying to reapply 10.6.2 and see if that fixes it and then just apply 10.6.5 after. Any thoughts? 3) For some reason, iPortable is the only Snow distro that worked on my machine without giving me any errors. I understand that it was amde for portability but would you suggest that I could use it as a stable mac platform for everyday use? 4) My trackpad works. It's an ALPS trackpad. Problem is, there's no vertical scroll. Any ideas? It was a SYNAPTICS trackpad for crying out loud Anyway, I managed to fix it already. Vertical scroll Thanks alot

  9. Hello and thank you very much for reading this. Right now, the only problem I have with my hackintosh would be the audio. I am currently using an azzalia kext and while it does provide me audio out, I really need audio in too. I was just wondering if anyone could help me sort this out. I really don't know what kind of information you guys may need so I would like to add the most I could and if you do need extra info, please do not hesitate to reply. Thank you. Laptop Model: DV2000 Windows Info I got: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_103C30B2&REV_1000 MOBO Chipset: Intel Calistoga i945GM/PM Audio Adapter: Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M - High Definition Audio Controller Windows recognizes it as Conexant but mac says its Intel HDA. Don't know which really. Hope you can help me with this. Ive tried reading for hours but people seem to have no idea.
  10. Kernel Panic. PLEASE HELP!

I'm really sorry. I did not notice that it was in the SL forum. My bad there. Actually, prior to the Wireless Card Im using right now, it was actually an Intel PRO but it wasnt mac compatible so I went ahead and I changed it to this one (which it is). @Biso Nope, I do not have FakeSMC installed @gringo Nope, dont have that installed either but I will try and install AppleDecrypt and Disabler (two things I accidentally left out) Also, Im currently using Azzalia right now and while I do have audio out, I do not have audio in. As far as I know, its the only missing part of my osx86 install. Would you happen to know how to fix it? Here are the details of what Im using: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_103C30B2&REV_1000 Thanks alot!

An image of the KP is attached below. Please help me understand why I'm getting this KP and how do I fix it. THANKS ALOT MASTERS!

I know. the Quest is really frustrating since the posts in this forum have gone way back 2009 and everything feels like a wild goose chase. Yah know, people work on some kexts while somebody pitches on the possibility of a new update that might just solve the problem but nothing really comes up. As for the card, All I can see are recurring themes. The no-desktop-but-I-can-here-my-mac-startup situation has happened alot of times with different kexts and (forgive my two cents) maybe the problem lies there. Maybe we just have to tweak something to get the freakin desktop to show. Otherwise, as for the coder, we could find a way to FORMALLY collect all the funds and then perhaps, scan freelancers who could do the job. I think the reason why it doesn't appeal to anyone is because of a) there's no guarantee for the funds there's no specific prize.

I was just thinking.. What if we use injectors instead of hexediting? Would that work? Sorry, total noob here just trying to make the discussion go..
