1. Despite passing numerous flags, starting in safe mode, etc. I was unable to get the el capitan installer to boot at all...despite yosemite working great. At this point I'm up for suggestions. Using the latest version of Clover as well as the version included in #####. I tried checking different options under Binary Patching or whatever the menu item was called. The furthest I could get is DSMOS has arrived or maybe even a bit further and then the machine reboots. Note that this is running the INSTALLER for el capitan. Also note before bringing up usb 3.0 that my motherboard does not have usb 3.0. Flags I tried: cpus=1 nv_disabled=1 kext_dev_mode or whatever it is set to 1 rootless=0 Hardware: ASRock H61MV-ITX Geforce 750 ti 8 gb RAM Pentium 2030 Edit: nevermind, i think ##### was corrupt. it's finally working (after doing a clean install) nevermind, i think ##### was corrupt. it's finally working (after doing a clean install)
2. Why is it so hard to get this stuff working on AMD? Not here to bash anyone, especially developers (My day job is a developer) but why is there such poor support for AMD these days? I remember back in the day when leopard and even snow leopard ran great on AMD. I bought a laptop with an AMD A6 CPU in it and can barely even get the installer to boot, much less manage to install OSX. Not trying to bash anyone or troll. I just notice that 99% of the lower end laptops i see for sale in places like staples or best buy have AMD processors in them. Have all the developers given up on AMD?
3. Cannot Install on AMD Mobo. HP 425

try doing what it says for modcd. Type rd(0,0)/Extra/legacy_kernel or whatever it says (can't remember off hand). If it still gives you problems, type that again and append -force64 to the end.
4. [RANT] I am working on getting lion installed via the USB guide at the top of this thread. I currently have a radeon 6970 which has always been problematic under OS-X. Once i created the USB stick and booted into the installer (passing in 1 parameter, "Graphics Mode"="1920x1080x32", I notice that i'm getting full hardware acceleration, 1080p resolution with extended desktop (only during installation though ). Why do we have so much trouble with these cards after installation? Also, anyone have any tips on getting the networking functional on the ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z under lyon? Worked fine under snow leopard. Thanks!
5. GA-P35-DS3L Installation Woes...

A bit of a follow up to this. It turns out it was the GTX 275 causing the issue. I now have all hardware working with OSX 10.6.6(32bit and 64bit).
6. I've tried a number of bootcds with this system. The only one that even half way works is an 'slboot.iso' i found floating around, and about halfway through the osx boot process the monitors shut off. Any clue on how to get OSX installed on this machine? Thanks! Machine: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L rev 2.0 Geforce GTX 275 NetGear WN311B wireless adapter 8 GB RAM SATA Burner, SATA hard drives USB Mouse/Keyboard 2 23.6" widescreen 1080p monitors Sorry, trying to install forgot to mention, snow leopard 10.6 retail.
7. I just tested the site in IE, and except for a minor graphical glitch it looks fine. Being that i am and have been a web designer for many years (since 98ish or so) I know that it's possible to design websites that work on all browsers.
