Petition: Release Mac OS X for PC

I recently bought a MBP, because I loved my hackintosh so much. I use my hackintosh as a server now for media. The hackintosh ideology works for apple.

    Clover on MyHack?

I do not have your graphics card, but that looks awfully similar to a dual link problem. You should edit your DSDT to fix it or enable Dual Link fix in Clover to see if that helps.
  3. DP1 is causing this on NVIDIA/ATI cards. Make sure you upgrade to DP2 or later.

    MV DP2 + Clover + Filevault 2 = Amazing?

I have two internal hard drives so it made it easy. I started with a USB flash for clover then installed clover to the other hard drive. Then booted the first hard drive using UEFI Clover and told it to install Mavericks which registered the DMG with the booted EFI (Clover from the other hard drive) and then rebooted into the DMG using injected Kexts (Fake SMC) and installed just like vanilla. The encryption does not work as Clover still does not support the password from EFI boot. So, blah... one failure. But everything else is working. I simply booted into my other hard drive and reverted from core storage using diskutil to undo my encryption. Cheers, CaptSilver Just boot clover from a USB and try it out. It auto detects a lot of stuff. It sometimes glitches on the graphics and you have to set the theme from the UI before it straightens up! Happy Hacking!!! Cheers, CaptSilver
  5. So, I installed mavericks using Clover with UEFI from the actual setup app. I do NOT make a USB bootable version, clover booted straight into the app and it installed. I noticed from the Logs that it also made a Recovery HD partition automatically. I upgraded to DP 2 as the ATI drivers were broken. I then turned on FileVault and restarted my computer. It appears that it is currently encrypting my laptop. i will let you guys know if this works in a day or so as it has a lot to encrypt. Cheers CaptSilver

    Asus G73H

I am trying to get HDMI audio working on my ATI 5870M with ALC269 Audio. I am having no luck at all. I am including everything that might help for someone to figure it out. I tried to look it up but the good forum post about the G73 is deleted. I have not found anyone who claimed to have it working. ATI HD5870, issues when changing resolution

Finally fixed it! You need a dual link fix for your dsdt. Just google that as I cannot put the link as it goes to "the site that shall be named" and I will not post someone else's work without attribution.

ATI HD5870, issues when changing resolution

Just the LVDS for me. I did a google search and did not see this topic and reposted about it. VGA and HDMI are working but the LVDS goes wonky even with EDID overrides. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290878-asus-g73-with-5870m-resolution-troubles/

ASUS G73 with 5870M: Resolution Troubles

The ati is the primary and only card. Orangutan has the same problems as it is the same info on connector 0. I am running 10.8.4 and I have QE/CL just cannot change resolutions from 1600x900 or things go wonky. My device is in the ati5000controller so no need for injection.

ASUS G73 with 5870M: Resolution Troubles

I have almost everything working, but I cannot get resolution changes to work with my video card. It messes up and I get like 4 duplicate desktops showing on my LVDS. I tried EDID overrides but to no avail. I am guessing this is a video driver issue, but I have no idea what to change in order to correct this. I tried different but similar framebuffers but they do not help at all. There is some help for those that do not have QE/CL. I have started a thread originally on another site but it has a boot file modded for the 5870. http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=206219

    ASUS G73JH - Mac OS X 10.6.6 - All is WORKING!

To get Lion to work with our Video cards for QE/CL you have to have a modded boot file. I cannot seem to get the proper Framebuffer to work, but here is a link to help anyone who knows more about how to get the FB to work. http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=206219 I have QE/CL with orangutan but without external outputs.
