1. Get well soon my friend

2. Still Waiting for Root Device

You need to do more searching. Have you tried the Boot CD from here? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=227592
3. Dell Optiplex 755 help please?

Too hard?
4. Still Waiting for Root Device

Search for a boot CD with SATA controller kexts for your MB http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...0l241l241l2-1l1
5. Still Waiting for Root Device

Link works for me. anyway you CAN search yourself http://tinyurl.com/5ujpvzu or you could look it up in the MB Manual to see what the controllers are. If you only have those two drives connected then I would assume that the HD is Volume 0 and the DVD is Volume 1.
6. Still Waiting for Root Device

Yes at this stage you are trying to boot the DVD install disc from the DVD drive. So what drives have you got & what ports are they connected to? Do you know what controllers the ports run (use "system Info App" in Windows)
7. Still Waiting for Root Device

? USB DVD?
8. Still Waiting for Root Device

I thought I had explained, changing ports etc. As ifrit05 said try searching. One thing to try is boot with "rd=diskX" or "rd=diskXs3" Where X is the DVD drive number.
9. Still Waiting for Root Device

I thought ##### was for intel CPU's - so you are going to need a Boot CD for AMD. Getting a IDE (ATA) Hard Drive is not going to help at this stage as the error is with the DVD drive. Try changing the port if it is a SATA. DVD or making it master if it is a ATA DVD. You may have to find a boot CD that has drivers for the DVD controller. Run 'System Info App' to ascertain what controllers your board has. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=219584 BTW since you downloaded your copy of OS X retail, it could be faulty, although I would expect an EBIOS error in that case.
10. intel GMA 950 problem

Good to hear.
11. intel GMA 950 problem

"arch=i386" at Chameleon boot or "arch=i386 -v"
12. intel GMA 950 problem

try it
13. intel GMA 950 problem

What Apple installs. You might want to upgrade to 10.6.7, it included updated GMA 950 Drivers. And as far as I know the drivers are only 32 bit.
14. intel GMA 950 problem

Why would you re-install just to add graphics enabler to the boot.plist http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...0l373l373l3-1l1 There are a few ways to get the GMA 950 working DSDT patch (my preference) USE VANILLA (un-patched) KEXTS OR adding EFI Strings USE VANILLA (un-patched) KEXTS OR Enabler via Chameleon (via com.apple.Boot.plist) or Enabler kext. OR patched kexts. Suggest you read the links from this search http://www.google.com.au/search?q=site:ins...206&bih=888
15. intel GMA 950 problem

Try booting with "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" at Chameleon prompt. I f that works add <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> to "com.appleBoot.plist" The best way for GMA 950 is a simple DSDT fix. See my guide #post 4 What is the ID of that GMA 950
