  1. Thanks but both of those look like they are talking about Snow Leopard, and the download links are DMG files, which a Intel PC can't make heads or tails of. They didn't really answer my questions regarding a "Boot-132" loader specifically for the Dell GX620
  2. So it looks like the generic Boot-132 loader I found my be too generic from My Dell Optiplex GX620. If anyone knows where I can find a specific Boot-132 for the Dell Optilplex GX620, please send me the link.
  3. Help with Boot-132

Thanks, looks like I might have to find a different boot loader then
  4. Help with Boot-132

Sorry I wrote that from work and didn't have the exact link in front of me. I had hard time finding the Boot-132 iso file to download, so I ended up using this download link that I got from <http://www.hackint0sh.org/f181/44314.htm>. As far as the gray screen with the Apple logo, that is the screen that you first see when starting up a actual Mac (boot splash screen ??). The Boot-132 iso I download did not allow me to enter -v at boot up, also would let me enter -? either which I though odd. Just curious, the hard drive I have has not partition or OS installed on it, so consequently no MBR (Master Boot Record), could part of my problem be the fact that the HD doesn't have a MBR? If I've got a bad Boot-132 iso, do you recommend downloading one from some place else, had a hard time finding the one I did find. any advise or help would be appreciated.
  5. Thanks I saw the link talking about using Boot-132 CD and a retail copy of Mac OS (which I do own a legal copy of Leopard 10.5.0 DVD) tried it and it didn't work, all I got was the gray Mac boot screen with the Apple logo. The hard drive I'm using doesn't have any operating system on it. Do I need to add the Master Boot Record to the drive first?
  6. Help with Boot-132

Booting my Dell Optiplex GX620 w/non-partitioned 250GB SATA hard drive in to the Boot-132 disc I burned from an ISO file, and I all I get the gray Mac screen with the Apple logo. According to the instructions (which are not in front of me right now), I place the Boot-132 disc in my drive to let my PC boot up, when I'm asked to hit enter to start Darwin I do, everything looks okay (I guess), at the next prompt I'm asked to enter in the number for my hard drive, the instructions that I have say at this point since I've just started not to enter anything, but instead swap out the Boot-132 disc for my legal retail copy of OS 10.5 Leopard, (which I do) then hit enter. Next I notice a bit of txt on the screen then the gray back ground with the Apple logo, I think success... 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15, minutes, 30 minutes, and hour.... Nothing progress, I'm stuck. Anyone have any ideal what I'm doing wrong, do I have the wrong Boot-132 iso? I think this is the one I burned from http://www.mediafire.com/?1ne1zbl4znv
  7. I've been trying to find a complete compatible OSx86 distribution form my Dell Optiplex GX620. All the one that I have found so far (iDebneb or iATKOS) have failed, the 2 iDebneb torrents must be missing files, because BitTorrent stops and shows and error message saying files are missing, and all I end up with is a 356MB file that is usless, the iATKOS doesn't seem to exist or there are no seeds. Can anyone tell me where I can find a full and complete compaitable OSx86 distribution ISO torrent file for the following: Dell Optiplex GX620 BIOS: A07 (03/31/06) CPU: Intel Pentium D 2.80GHz CPU Clock Speed: 2.80GHz CPU Bus Speed: 800MHz CPU L2 Cache: 2MB CPU ID: 0F47 Multiple Core Capable: Yes (Dual) Hyper-threading Capable: No 64-Bit Technology: Yes (Intel EM64T) RAM: 2.0 GB Memory Speed: 533MHz Memory Channel Mode: Dual Interleaved Memory Technology: DDR2 SDRAM PCI info: Slot ID - PEG VGA, Display Hard Drive: Western Digital SATA 80GB (WD800JD-75MSA3) Optical Drive: Sony CD-RW/DVD-ROM (CRX310EE) Video: 8MB (Onboard/PEG) Sound: Peripheral's: Integrated NIC USB
  8. Introduce yourself.

Hello, looking to upgrade my old Dell Optilples GX620 to OSX
  9. I have a Acer Aspire with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 L310 processor, and I attempted to installed OS 10.5.6 on a spare partition that I created, it got all the way to the end just before it would reboot, can halted saying there was a error, and could not complete the final steps and reboot. I co-worker said that I might need to check to see if there is a patch for the processor, that I might need to complete this. Does anyone know of a patch for the AMD Athlon 64 X2 L310 processor?
