Driver for LSI MegaRAID SAS family

i've got an ibm m1115 which i had crossflashed to a lsi 9211-8i IR previously which i've re-flashed with the m1015 bootrom and the newest firmware from ibm which appears to be 20.11.1-0184 currently running 10.10.3 installed the release sasmegaraid.kext and have it showing up in the system information which is great problem is it doesn't seem to be recognising any disks connected to it though, i know the driver will only present logical disks so the os so i've tried creating single disk raid0 arrays as well as creating a 2 disk raid0 array but they don't seem to show up in the os at all? mfiutil is able to identify the individual disks as well as the volumes but nothing shows up in disk utility have tried flipping the prefermsi key as well as the uncontiguous enumeration kext too without any change here's the output from mfiutil sh-3.2# mfiutil show adapter mfi0 Adapter: Product Name: ServeRAID M1015 SAS/SATA Controller Serial Number: SP30205654 Firmware: 20.11.1-0184 RAID Levels: JBOD, RAID0, RAID1, RAID10 Battery Backup: not present NVRAM: 32K Onboard Memory: 0M Minimum Stripe: 8K Maximum Stripe: 64K sh-3.2# mfiutil show drives mfi0 Physical Drives: 1 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150603400379> SATA E1:S4 2 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=143799401997> SATA E1:S7 3 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=145218403311> SATA E1:S0 4 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150284400376> SATA E1:S3 sh-3.2# mfiutil show config mfi0 Configuration: 1 arrays, 1 volumes, 0 spares array 0 of 4 drives: drive 3 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=145218403311> SATA drive 4 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150284400376> SATA drive 1 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150603400379> SATA drive 2 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=143799401997> SATA volume mfid0 (950G) RAID-0 64K OPTIMAL <ssdraid0> spans: array 0 sh-3.2# mfiutil show volumes mfi0 Volumes: Id Size Level Stripe State Cache Name mfid0 ( 950G) RAID-0 64K OPTIMAL Disabled <ssdraid0> any idea guys? update: managed to flash the m1115 with the lsi megaraid 9240-8i firmware which made it pickup as an actual m1115, still no difference in osx sasmegaraid picks it up, shows the disks but just won't passthrough the virtualdisks here's the new output: sh-3.2# mfiutil show adapter mfi0 Adapter: Product Name: ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA Controller Serial Number: SP30205654 Firmware: 20.13.1-0208 RAID Levels: JBOD, RAID0, RAID1, RAID10 Battery Backup: not present NVRAM: 32K Onboard Memory: 0M Minimum Stripe: 8K Maximum Stripe: 64K sh-3.2# mfiutil show drives mfi0 Physical Drives: 0 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=143799401997> SATA E1:S7 1 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=145218403311> SATA E1:S0 2 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150603400379> SATA E1:S4 3 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150284400376> SATA E1:S3 sh-3.2# mfiutil show config mfi0 Configuration: 1 arrays, 1 volumes, 0 spares array 0 of 4 drives: drive 1 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=145218403311> SATA drive 3 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150284400376> SATA drive 2 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=150603400379> SATA drive 0 ( 238G) ONLINE <SanDisk SD7SB3Q2 0000 serial=143799401997> SATA volume mfid0 (950G) RAID-0 64K OPTIMAL <sandisk_4xr0> spans: array 0 sh-3.2# mfiutil show volumes mfi0 Volumes: Id Size Level Stripe State Cache Name mfid0 ( 950G) RAID-0 64K OPTIMAL Disabled <sandisk_4xr0> update2: turns out it's been working all along, just didn't show up in disk utility gui or in terminal. read through the entire thread again and had found a post mentioning needing to format the drive in windows first before showing up in osx so i booted a windows installation, formatted in ntfs then formatted it in hfs+ in osx and all is well
  2. d'oh, thought as much cheers for the hard work Donk
  3. any way around the "The guest operating system 'darwin11_64Guest' is not supported." error in vcenter?
  4. try adding dart=0 to your boot arguments, apparently it disabled vt-d which is supported by the 3317u helped with my error on mavericks

    New Driver for Realtek RTL8111

anyone seeing any problems with a random dropped connection after constant network load? i.e. initial timemachine backup seems under high load it'll randomly lose network connection, pulling the cable and plugging it in again seems to reconnect but all local shares time out and need to be reconnected used a few versions of the drivers here as well as lnx2mac's drivers and all seem to have the same problem network consist of a realtek 8111f on a p8h77-i motherboard running 10.8.4 into a 16port netgear prosafe switch and the server is running 10.9server to host timemachine seems to only happen to my machine in particular so it's not the server which is at fault any ideas?
  6. been trying to get 10.8 running using myhack to build the bootable disk and not really having any luck(seems to boot the bootloader then reboot straight after) anyone else been following any quick guides they'd care to share?
  7. anyone having trouble booting after doing the bunch of recent updates? mine seems to be stopping on the following message: /drv/ hypioctls.c:908 ioctl vt-d status: 0 anyone ideas anyone?
  8. say does anyone elses cpu fan control works in the bios? no matter what I set it on, seems the cpu fan stays on full on all the time
  9. odd whenever I try to boot into 32bit mode on 10.6.4, it gives me a grey screen after loading the initial stuff switch it back to 64bit mode and it goes back into the desktop again anyone else having this problem? not the system in my quote, just a simple k45 board + e6400, 2gb memory and a sata hard disk, nothing else edit; working now, was just the dsdt included on the first page repatched it with the gma950 fix using dsdteditor tool, found some 10.6.2 applehda kexts and everythings working as it should on 10.6.4 edit2; thought I should mention, video doesn't seem to work with any sort of adapter(analog to dvi) only straight analog cables to monitors appears to work using an adapter results in a grey screen after the loading screen with no desktop
  10. yeah when crunching the numbers my 250w psu should have exploded already i however have never had any trouble running games or even full load on the cpu it'll blow up sooner or later, i'll worry about having to shoehorn another psu inside somehow later on space is a bit of a problem in my case unfortunately
  11. admittedly my psu is pretty lacking for what i'm running shuttle silentx 250w 12v@16a 5v@19a 3.3v@18a there's a very good reason why i'm stuck with this psu though system is otherwise stable at full load for hours on end so hopefully none of the hardware is dodgey for those who might be interested in some system pics
  12. anyone else find their zotac board refuses to boot with a usb thumb drive or usb external hard drive connected?
  13. vindu

    got 10.6 working.

according to netkas theres no new kernel or kexts so it should be safe to just update
  14. first of all thanks minihack for the uber dsdt guide, helped heaps! edit; nevermind sound suddenly works! had a question about dsdt's too, if i did something wrong before hand and corrected the .dsl and compiled it to .aml could i just replace the dsdt.aml in my /efi/extra(using pc efi 10.5) and that would be it?

How to: ATI 4850 working on SL

having some trouble here guys.. using a HIS HD4850 512mb used the second method and it boots into snow leopard but i just get a blue screen and the snow leopard flashes back and forth once in a while and is usable for about 3-4 seconds at a time if i use -x as a boot flag if i boot normally it does the same but spends more time in the blue screen rather than snow leopard
