  1. Lenovo Ideapad S12 Ion Development Thread

Hi, I have since had to get rid of the S12 due to unforseen reasons. However I do have a backup of the DSDT and kext I was using for the battery. This DSDT has been seriously cleaned up and alot of the inspiration was taken from "tHE KiNG" so big thanks to him, you will also need to use the attached AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext, delete the voodoo stuff this is not needed. I hope someone can continue this work and good luck. Cheops S12DSDT.zip AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext.zip

So you managed to get the bass working on voodoohda?
  3. Lenovo Ideapad S12 Ion Development Thread

Yes I will post when I iron out a few more problems specifically USB OHCI. If you want to check you will find AppleACPIEC.kext is not always loaded and causes many problems, even when it does, its not working correctly. More good news managed to fix the Lid Sleep/Wake in DSDT today. Cheops
  4. Lenovo Ideapad S12 Ion Development Thread

Hi, I have managed to get VANILLA Battery Power management working, by identifying a problem with AppleACPIEC.kext not loading correctly and AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext with DSDT fixes, this is currently now giving me 5-6 hours battery life. Cheops

  7. Acer Laptop users (Intel).

Hi All, I have attached an AppleHDA.kext that works with Tuba ( Subwoofer bass ) instead of just the tinny tweeter speakers, I have tested it on my Acer 7720g laptop and it works perfectly. You need to create an aggregate midi device and add the 2 sets of internal speakers and assign the speakers. If you want to play mp3 etc through all speakers at same time you need to use sunflower and au labs(xcode), there are tutorials on how to do that on this site. Thanks Cheops AppleHDA.kext.zip
  8. Hi, My laptop has 2 sets of speakers, 21->16->3 ( L/R Tweeters ) 22->14->2 ( Single Bass ) I have defined my pathmaps like the following, However when I try and play I get stuttering! Can anyone see whats wrong with my layouts? Thanks
  9. ALC268 Audio - Can anyone help?

Hi, I have an Acer 7720g Laptop with the Realtek ACL268. I have tried implementing my pin config data and also the pathmap items but I am not getting any audio from my speakers, I am getting very confused. On my hardware I have 2 normal speakers on top node 0x15 and a bass sub speaker on node 0x16 both nodes need to be playing at the same time to produce quality sound. On Ubuntu I have to do the following command to enable the bottom speaker to enable it. hda-verb 0x16 SET_AMP 0xb000 I would be very grateful if someone could please check my AppleHDA.kext for discrepencies. I have attached what I think is needed for this including linux codex dump, graph, windows verbs. Any help much appreciated. Cheops. ALC268_Info.zip
  10. Problem Acer Aspire 7720g

The main problem with the sound is the bass speaker at the bottom its not activated. I have figured this out and know how to activate it, I just need to get a working AppleHDA first.

Hi HNO3 Do you have anything plugged into the USB Ports? I am using MacBook Pro 5,5 in my SMBIOS, Running 10.6.6 All kexts in S/L/E are vanilla, as for my E/E I just have the following:- AHCIPortInjector.kext Not sure this is needed, Needs Investigating AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext Working on this at the moment, Having to recode some of it to handle vanilla power management battery AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext ApplePS2Controller.kext ApplePS2Keyboard.kext ApplePS2Mouse.kext ApplePS2Trackpad.kext All these are obvious. CPUIDOverrride.kext CPUIDSymbols.kext For using AnVal's chameleon for on the fly vanilla kernel patcher. FakeSMC.kext Latest version IOATABlockStorage.kext IOATAFamily.kext IOATAPIProtocolTransport.kext IOSDHCIBlockTransport.kext I think we can get rid of all these, not even sure they are needed, Maybe someone can tell me? OSXRestart.kext Can get rid of this in DSDT as far as I know Best Cheops.
