    Laggy Mouse

Hey Maldon - any chance you could get back to me? No rush. Thanks man

    Laggy Mouse

I am not sure for certain but I think whatever you did may have helped. I have been using the computer for an hour or so today and it hasn't lagged; unless it has done it and I have not noticed! Would be interested to know what you did! Thanks. EDIT: Actually scrap that - I think the lag is still present to a degree; however I only realised just now that the ethernet port I was using had stopped working. I was connected by WiFi before realising. I thought I had been using the Intel ethernet port but according to Network Utility it is actually the Atheros I WAS using and now I have moved over to the Intel port.

Hey, Thanks for taking the time to reply. So busy with work lately that it is hard for me to find time to tinker, hence the long delay in responding. I have attached the ioreg as requested. What changes did you make with the Clover configs you sent me? Thanks. Hackintosh-v2.ioreg.zip
  4. Hi, I just got round to checking and the mirroring checkbox was checked, but even after unchecking it it appears the random black blocks in the menu bar are still appearing. Anyone else any thoughts?

Hi, Here are the files you requested Maldon. Hopefully you can find something that might be the cause. I will try out some of the suggestions above while you have chance to have a look. Thank you!. Mouse Lag Troubleshooting.zip

    Laggy Mouse

Hi there Hoping I can pick the brains of people more intelligent than me. I have got Sierra up and running and everything seems to be working to an acceptable standard, with one exception. My mouse occasionally lags and stutters. I cannot seem to find a concrete way to replicate the problem, it seems random. My suspicious would be something related to the USB bus, but I may be wrong. FYI, running through USB I have: - Wired USB keyboard - Wireless Logitech mouse - Soundblaster Omni USB soundcard I am running the keyboard and mouse through an Anker USB 3.0 hub. The sound card runs through a different port on the back of the computer. Hopefully someone has some ideas? Let me know if any information/diagnostics/technical stuff would help. Many thanks.
  7. Ello, I think mirroring options are already disabled. I will check though. If anyone has any more suggestions that would be great thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hi guys, I recently decided to delve into Hackintoshinginging again and installed Sierra. I'm using a GTX 1080 and with the latest web drivers everything works ok except I am getting the black box flickering in menu bar thing. I am guessing this is something to do with the transparency? I am just testing with 'reduce transparency' enabled in Accessibility. I wouldn't actually mind having the menu bar fully opaque anyway; just wish enabling 'reduce transparency' didn't kill ALL transparency, like in the dock. Any ideas? Thanks. EDIT: 'reduce transparency' makes no difference :o/
  9. Hi guys, Been a while since I last read the forums. It doesn't look like my issue has been solved yet, but I may have missed the solution. Has anyone managed to solve the wake-by-USB issue while asleep? As suggested by... ... the system now stays shutdown when I want it to shut down, but I am unable to start the system from shutdown as was suggested in this thread with WoL disabled in BIOS and Wake for network access enabled in Energy Saver. Everything else appears to work as advertised. Updated to 10.11.2 through App store without issue. Thanks
  10. Hi guys, I am still having massive problems with my Hack. I have tried using the F16g BIOS to see if that made any difference which it did not. I disabled WoL in BIOS, no different. The system wakes on USB input when sleeping, but also it will not shutdown without starting back up again. Does anyone have any more ideas? I can't use El Cap properly until I get some solution to this Thanks
  11. I shall give that a try when I can next summon the strength to wrestle with the wretched beast. thanks.
  12. I have always had WoL enabled in bios as I do use it. Everything worked as I wanted it to on Yosemite. The only thing that does seem to be working the same is the bloody USB ports now wake the system whenever anything happens on them. Move a USB mouse, plug something into a port or unplug it, and then sometimes it just wakes on its own with no apparent input. Each time the wake reasons are XH01, EH01 or EH02.
  13. And I take it that on Yosemite the only way you could wake up was by pressing the power button? TheRacerMaster has tried all sorts of clover patching and even editing a dsdt file and still the bloody thing wakes up when USB devices do anything. My shutdown is also not working properly either. It goes through the shut down procedure, turns off and then springs back to life 5 seconds later. It is literally the only thing stopping me using El Capitan as main OS, and i so want be able to so that I can use the upgraded notes app on my other devices. 14. So am I the only one using the Z77X-UD5H, El Capitan and Clover and is having trouble with USB waking the system? I have tried without nvidia graphics card. Same issue. I am using the bios version in my sig. Is there an issue with that bios? Arrrgghhh!!! Edit: my board revision is 1.0 btw.
