  1. Ok so I know the G3 is old, however my roommate just came home with one. I'm curious to know if there is a stripped down version of 10.5 that can run on it. SPECS ===== G3 PowerPC 400 MHz Processor 64 MB RAM 10 GB HDD I know its way under the bar, and I don't even care if it's slow. If it installs and runs I'm happy.
  2. Hi, I just got a new laptop. The Toshiba Satellite M505. System Spcs: http://laptops.toshiba.com/laptops/sate ... M505-S4980 I'm installing the iATKOS v7 on it. By using the "cpus=1" and "-v" flag I can easily get the OS to install. However, after the install is complete and it goes to restart the machine. It looks up right after the bootloader shows up and tries to load the OS. I've tried the following loaders: Chameleon v1, Chameleon v2 and Xiezhy Booter When I run verbose mode it stops at the following line: "MAC Framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" Any ideas what would be causing this? Also I haven't been altering the selected drivers to use in the list. If I need to use different ones from the default I honestly wouldn't know what they would be with this laptop. Any help there would be great as well. EDIT I disabled one of the processor cores and it gets further in the booting when i go into verbose mode. Here's the last line I get localhost configd[33]: InterfaceNamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce" Any ideas? EDIT 2 So now I've disabled the onboard Ethernet and got the same line as above Also when I installed the OS I didn't change any of the driver options so if you know what would work bet for this laptop I have no problem reinstalling it again to get the correct drivers to get it working. I just don't know what they should be.
