  1. It wouldn't be a simple task, but it would be neat to have the filesystem, networking and security from the newest stable branch of FreeBSD incorporated into darwin. The BSD and ASPL liscense are compatible so any legal issues could be avoided(Naturally this is why os x can exist). Does anyone else see any other benefits/issues with this, and has anyone been working or is planning to work on something like this? Any input is welcome.
  2. Dual 9800 GTX 512 Working in OSX86!

I'm running two 8800 gtx's in sli on a 680i and I sware I managed to get it to work before with nvinject (ver 2.0 in the plist), but the 10.6.4 update broke QE support and I cant seem to replicate the results. I'm on 10.6.2 right now and was wonder if anyone knows if this will work for SL. I'll post my results when I'm done in case anyones interested. The 8800's and the 9800's are fairly close as far as I know.
  3. Just out of curiosity, how different is the x-fi extreme music? Besides being pci does it use a different spu as well? Being non hda compliant I assume you couldn't use hdaenabler.kext with a modified plist either. What would be the most likely solution? I wouldn't mind monkeying around with this idea just for the sheer joy of it. Edit: I should read more thoroughly before I post. As I understand it the pci cards do have a different spu. Mostly what I am wondering is are there any solutions for non hda compliant cards that might be made to work.
  4. Hmm...its interesting that you still have that problem when you set HWcursor to false. I have the same laptop just with the 720p screen and have no issues. Maybe its the different resolution thats causing problems.
