    Facetime Supported Camera

I have the Microsoft Cinema cam. Definitely works in iChat and Facetime. Does not work in photobooth (photobooth squishes the 16:9 ratio, but the other two programs just crop it out). In order to get frame rates higher than 10fps or so, every time I turn my computer on, I have to go to "video effects" in iChat, choose one with a backdrop and as soon as it says "please step out of the frame" (you have to have a video preview window open too) you switch back to regular. I don't know why this works, but it does. Every time. After you do this, the camera runs flawlessly at 30fps with a great picture.
  2. Hi, I seem to have run into a bit of a problem and I was hoping I might be able to get some advice here. Here's the situation that I'm in... A few weeks ago I stumbled across a really great Pandora client called Pyrcast. It had a really sleek, beautiful desktop interface and managed to bypass the Pandora ads, as well as allowing me to scrub through the songs. All really great features and well worth the $4.99 I spent on it. Then, Pandora issued a takedown request saying that Pyrcast was creating a "fragmented user experience" and Pyrcast is no longer allowed to sell their app. Unfortunately, I never downloaded or installed it to my MacBook and I really want it on there, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm signed in to the same Mac App Store account, but when I copy the app to that computer, it simply won't open. I was wondering if anyone knew any tricks or workarounds so I can keep using it. Thanks!

New user glad to find this forum

Hey everyone, I just finished building a Hackintosh for the first time (I owned a Psystar before this... I know, I know). It's up and running perfectly for now thanks to this forum. I thought I'd create an account so I could help out others now.

OS X - dell dw 1395 wifi issue

Oh no! I spoke too soon! I restarted my computer today and now the DW1395 no longer works! The Airport icon in the status bar says "No Airport card installed". I have rebooted again, it's still not working... Any ideas? EDIT: So it turns out that it will work every time when I boot with -f, but it will never work when I boot without that parameter... Is there any way around that? Thanks

OS X - dell dw 1395 wifi issue

Hi Kizwan, I know this topic is a little old, but I'd just like to say thanks a ton I just bought a DW1395 and had the same issue, so I edited the plist and rebooted. It still didn't show up so I entered the boot options menu and booted with "-f" and Lo and behold it worked! Having WiFi makes my Hackintosh about a jillion times better, and it was only possible thanks to your help
