Hi, I have installed a new hard drive on my Macbook. I am able to power on the comp and inserted the Mac OS CD 1. The apple symbol shows and the circle below as if its loading the CD. It then goes into a blue screen and quickly into a black screen. Mac told me all I needed was a hard drive but there has to be something else wrong with my macbook. I have installed a new Western Digital hard drive. Any suggestions on what else could be wrong? Thanks Tissues
Hi there, I am trying to install new hard drive on a Macbook. I bought a Western Digital hard drive and inserted it into the Mac. I turn on the power and insert the CD for installing the OS and the Apple shows up with the circle for it loading right below it. The screen turns blue like its bout to go into the installation window but then quickly goes to black. The CD still spins for a bit but then stops and the screen never turns back on. Is there more issues with the laptop itself or is there something I am missing? Also please let me know if I need to add more information. Thanks Tissues
