1. I have a X58A-UD3R ver 1.0 and it runs OSX very well. Used Kakewalk to boot into the retail install disk and then ##### for all the rest. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the ver. 1.0 of this board to someone looking to run OSX. I don't know about the 2.0 version or even if it is possible to get a version 1.0 now. Good luck either way.
2. Just to let people know that this board works very well with SL. I am currently running an i7-920 at 3.8ghz with a trip;e boot setup. Win7, Ubuntu, and OSX 10.6.4. Used Kakewalk to boot SL install disk and then ##### to set up the rest. After updating from Apple I ran the AppleHDA 10.6.2 rollback to restore sound. Working perfectly and very quick. Well worth it.
3. I'm using a wireless apple setup here. Works fine, and I really do like the keyboard. Took a little tinkering in windows, but it does work.
4. iDVD working here. Only thing noted so far is that in About this Mac it changed my processor from Core Duo to Unknown. More info displays it correctly though (still says it's a 4 ghz cpu though, don't know what that's all about) Really, great work JaS. For my part I appreciate your work here and I wish I knew a bit more so that I could help you guys out some, but alas I am but a sheep Thanks again. phee
5. Works fine here. Running on a Core Duo 6300 with 10.4.7 JaS Update, etc, etc... I have been led to believe that the only problems with the iTunes updates lies in if you just have a sse2 only capable processor. But then again YMMV. phee
6. Just wanted to post and give a big thanks to the whole OSX community. Just got my Intel Core Duo set up and I have to say, WOW! Getting 120+ scores with Xbench and everything works. Right now I am running XP on the same machine and itching to switch back Just for kicks the system info is: Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2 MB Intel Core Duo 6300 running stock 2 gig Mushkin ram 250 Gig Seagate SATA Intel Graphics (QE/CI both working out of the box) LAN working with Realtek RTL8139 add on board Sound working with Azalia mod Reboot problem solved with kernal edit Sleep even works (at least for the monitor which is all I ever turn off) Running 10.4.7 now with JaS's update. It really feels faster than XP on this same box. Wish I could shell out the money for a Mac Pro Thanks again JaS and all the rest of you.
