  1. Hello! First of all thank you for this guide. BUT... I'm now on SL 10.6.8, works fine. I tried to apply every step from the manual, but I get always stuck after the bootloader comes up (and I monitor with -v). What happens is that at nearly the end of the kernel and extensions load-up I get for a fracture of a second "pci root not found" and my machine instantly restarts. I tried with PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes and different combinations (PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 and so on...) but no success. I bought ML from the Appstore using the usual tricks to pretend that I#m on a real Mac, so the OSX should be ok... I'm currently running a Gigabyte g33-ds3r with a Intel core2 duo quad, NVIDIA GTX285. Thank you in advance, sVendetta
  2. Hi everybody! I have a very specific problem which noone else seems to have:-( ...my Hackintosh works like a charm, except that I don't have the ALC889a running, but I really don't care about that internal sound-thingy. I work with Logic 9.02 and have to suffer from a very bad Latency, which is 11,5 ms @128kb buffer size. I tried different soundcards, like an ESI Maya44 PCIx (20ms latency, original driver) a Presonus Firebox (11,5ms via CoreAudio) and do think that there is something wrong with the way my Hacky/every OSX86 handles audio. Any ideas anyone? with my original Apple I get a latency of 1,5-3 ms @128kb Buffersize. Way faster... I try now for 3 weeks to get this fixed, but no success. Every help is appreciated:-) Thanks in advance, sVendetta Specs: MB Gigabyte GA-G3-DS3R Intel Q9650@2,83GHz 6GB Ram@1066MHz 2TB Disk Iatkos 10.5.7 upgraded via iDeneb Combo Upgrade to 10.5.8 Voodoo9.7 Kernel EDIT: I installed the VoodooHDA Kext and now I have an even higher latency(14ms@128kb buffer) but onboard-audio in addition to my USB Soundinterface. Whats wrong with the audio-handling??? Even my Win XP runs with 7ms latency. Does really nobody have any idea???

GT 260 Dual Monitor, NO Quartz Extreme

Hello Everybody! After dozens of times trying to get my Nvidia GT 260 doing Quartz Extreme(with trashing my whole system twice..) I would like to ask, if someone has a working solution for my problem. My System: MB Gigabyte ga-g33-g3sr (Bios F7, the latest) 4 Gigabyte ddr2/1033MhZ Ram 2x Samsung 1T HD Nvidia GT260 896MB Ram iatkos v7 Mac Os X 10.5.7 Everything worked fine, then I Installed the second monitor by using aquamacs instructions, 2nd mon appeared but quartz extreme was lost. since then I removed old injectors, installed netkas latest injector, renewed the editframebuffer.kext and so on. nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? p.s.: i am not a programmer, therefore I would appreciate an instruction for noobs... Thank you, sVendetta

    Ram specs for 10.5.7(aitkos)

Thank you for your help. So I know it is better to pair ram-modules, I think 4GB should be enough. But can you tell me if there will be a problem with FAST ram (1033MHz)? Or is that of no matter for the OS and only depends on the capability of the Mainboard (this supports 1033 MHz DDR2 Ram)? Thank you very much, svendetta
  6. Hello everybody! After a dozen times trial and error I finally managed to setup a stable Leopard system(including functional audio output)on a Gigabyte mainboard(GA-G33-DS3R). Everything works fine and now I want to install new DDR2 ram. The mainboard supports up to 1066MHZ Ram, and my question is if Leopard is getting along with this? Didn't find anything useful on the internet relating to this topic. Are there problems to expect when I pump up the system to 8GB with DDR2 1066MHz ram? Using IiATKOS v7 10.5.7, GA-G33-DS3R, Intel Core2 @3GHz, NVidia GT260 Thank you for your help, regards, sVendetta
