  1. I'm just looking for a update that doesn't have SSE2/SSE3. I installed 10.4.6 with only the combo update (SSE2/SSE3 didn't work for some reason). I just succesfully updated to 10.4.7 (Darwin 8.4.1). Had the 10.4.8 update downloaded and installed, but couldn't get the build in eth0 to work properly, so I went back to 10.4.6. Only I'm missing right now is sound, which I also unable to get working (missing some important files for some reason). Maybe the new 10.4.8 install DVD does some help here....
  2. So near but so far - 10.4.7

Maybe I'll need to do the same on my laptop. It's a Celeron Core Duo @ 1.6ghz but what ever combo I tried also got the messed up screen. Now I've got sussecfully got 10.4.6 running with only the intel combo update patch.
  3. kinda the same here. Installed the JaS 10.4.7 on my Toshiba laptop (A110-225 / Centrino Core Duo T2050 @ 1.6GHz). I tried several install options, like: only SSE2, only SSE3, only the Intel Combo. All these options won't completly boot the system. It's getting stuck at the blue screen just after the grey screen with the apple logo. Luckly I had a 10.4.6 DVD hanging around. Installing with only the Intel Combo worked for me. Just did the JaS 10.4.8 intel only update and that's going fine except for the unknown CPU display in the "about this mac" Keep up the good work!!! EDIT!!! Networking isn't working and Safari stops working when you hit enter to open a website. Same goes for software updater.... Not that there is anything to update...
  4. Realtek 8168/8111 solution

Works great with a rtl8139 NIC (wired)
  5. Just succesfully installed the JaS 10.4.6 version. Only thing is that my network isn't running. So I've to boot up and down to XP.
  6. A partly succes install. The machine gives me the OS selector. It's able to boot OSx, but does nothing after it loads Darwin. Well I'm getting the nice grey Apple logo and beyond that the blue screen but that's is Spec's: Toshiba A110-225 laptop Intel t2050 Centrino Core Duo 1,6Ghz i945 Intel chipset 512 DDR2 memory Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack DVD ISO Maybe someone here has a fix for this problem
  7. Well Hello There, Probably didn't use the search function the right way, but was unable to find a answer to my question. I just got myself a brand new laptop (ok, ok, ok it isn't mine, it's from the boss but who is looking). It's got a 80gig harddrive on which I installed XP pro. For this installa tion I used a 50gig partition. On the remaning 25 something gig I would like to install OSx, but somehow the osx install disk deleted my compleet XP install. How can I prevent this from happening in the future. I'm already reinstalling the laptop with on the first partition the XP install
