  1. Hello, I just hackintoshed my server, which has a P5KPL-AM motherboard, but am facing a strange problem with my LAN adapter, which is an onboard RTL8192E. I tried to install some drivers, like the R1000 kext and the Realtek official one, but when I go to Networking, under System Preferences, it always shows that it is connected under a self-acquired IP, EVEN IF THE CABLE IS PLUGGED OFF. I've been all day researching and trying drivers and couldn't find any solution. Any ideas? SOLVED. It seems the drivers I was trying to use weren't compatible with a 64-bit kernel. Booting with a 32-bit kernel done the trick.
  2. OSX HomeServer

The 9500GT I installed seemed to do the trick. At least, it boots into the installer.
  3. OSX HomeServer

I ordered a GeForce 9500GT today for the server. Should anything more be needed? Thanks.
  4. Hello, I am a OSX User (like, Macbook ) and am now focused in trying to get my homeserver to work with OSX Server. I don't mind replacing some (or most... or all, heh) of its hardware with OSX-friendly one. I'd appreciate someone gave me some advice on that. Motherboard: ASUS P5KPL-AM Processor: Intel Pentium Dual E2200 @ 2.20 GHz RAM: 3GB DDR2 Hard Drives: 1x 500GB, 2x 320GB SATA. Graphics Card: Integrated. I heard I may need to have a dedicated graphics card to install OSX, but as I'm not 100% sure about that and don't remember where I read that, I'd like to hear someone else's opinion if it's needed. Thanks in advance, Eduardo.
  5. Crash at launch of Team Fortress 2

I'd contact Steam support, and not InsanelyMac.
  6. Biso is right. You just need to install Windows to the external disk, as you would normally, but just selecting a different disk.
  7. Guide

There are lots of tutorials available in the forum that will surely help you.
  8. Does anyone have MobileMe

I use MobileMe. It's not just the email address. It's more about the deep integration with your iOS devices and your Mac. That makes the price tag worth it.
  9. How much wood

And now I'm officially chucked, uh, confused.
  10. som of my pictures

    Very, very nice shots.
  11. The NSPanel Thread

Great mods. Absolutely love the Terminal one.
  12. I could buy a cheapo 8400, but would like to know if that's really the problem first. Can anyone else confirm it too?
  13. Hello, I tried your guide and unfortunately it isn't working for me. It basically crashes after I tell Chamaleon to boot from the pendrive. The last thing that verbose says is ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3). I have already tried lots of guides and they all crash here. I haven't edited the device-properties as I don't know what's the EFI string for my Intel card, but I don't think that would make it crash at that exact spot every time. I have a Pentium-D processor, and am using the integrated graphics card. I, of course, have this motherboard. Hope someone knows how to help me Thanks in advance.
  14. Hello, I am trying to hackintosh my computer with a Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz, 3GB of RAM, and a P5KPL-AM (with integrated graphics). Followed the old lifehacker guide (http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build-a-hackintosh-with-snow-leopard-start-to-finish) as the new one gave me a monitor sync problem. I boot into chamaleon perfectly from USB stick, press tab, boot into my USB stick with -v flag and it hangs at: ACPI: System State [S0, S3, S4, S5] (S3) Tried to replace the kexts with a kext pack from 10.5.6 (can't remember where I got it, damn.) and it still errors at the exact same place. Would appretiate some help Thanks, Eduardo.
