  1. Sounds like you have an X3100 GPU like me. I didn't install on to a MBR partition, I created a GPT partition. I then did the following: Follow this guide by immo to create a DSDT file. Then follow this post from step 12a. Then make sure you boot in 32 bit mode. I think 64bit works but it won't wake up from sleep and the screensaver won't work. I was able to boot with no issues, but the screen resolution was wrong. Once I upgraded to 10.6.2, the correct drivers were there for this GPU.

[GUIDE] Leopard on an XPS 1330/1530

    How to install Chameleon manually.
  3. Attached is mine generated from Ubuntu using this guide. DSDT_r2_INT430_SYSFexxx_1001_INTL_20050624.aml.zip
  4. I assumed the top one is for Snow, and it works. iStat only seems to update every few seconds though. Just realised this is a setting in iStat. However, the values seem realistic, and far more stable than CoolBook. It also shows disk temperature which is great. Fan speed shows correctly. Also, I had some strange error messages from fakesmc in my boot log that are now gone. So awesome, thanks.
  5. Is the top one for Snow Leopard, and the bottom one for Leopard?
  6. Thanks immo. I've been doing a bit of research and will leave it for now.

[GUIDE] Leopard on an XPS 1330/1530

Set the clock speed in smbios.plist. For the DSDT, I used this guide by immo.

Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

This probably explains why I've never been able to get an external monitor to work on my laptop as it's 1280 x 800. I used this post by slashack earlier in this thread to modify my DSDT to get my laptop screen working on 10.6.2. Otherwise I just got a backlight and nothing else, and no external monitor either. Do you know what I would need to modify to get an external monitor working? DSDT attached in case you need it. DSDT.aml.zip
  9. Shutdown works because I have Intel GMA X3100 graphics, not Nvidia. It's worked from day 1. Restart works (mostly) with Master Chiefs OSXRestart from here. The mostly is due to something not working correctly in my DSDT I think. Still working on that.
  10. Mine's the same as yours. Will be following this as I'm a little out of my depth here. On my XPS M1330 this is the output of the two commands. lscpi -nn gives: 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) SMBus Controller [8086:283e] (rev 02) lspci -d 8086:283e -xxxvvv gives: 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 02) Subsystem: Dell Unknown device 0209 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster- SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap- 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Interrupt: pin B routed to IRQ 17 Region 0: Memory at f6dfb700 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 4: I/O ports at 10c0 00: 86 80 3e 28 03 01 80 02 02 00 05 0c 00 00 00 00 10: 00 b7 df f6 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20: c1 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 28 10 09 02 30: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 11 02 00 00 40: 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 50: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 60: 03 04 04 00 00 00 08 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 70: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 80: 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 90: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 a0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 b0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 d0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 e0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 f0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 86 0f 05 00 00 00 00 00 Which shows mine as slightly different to Brett's.
  11. It's because C-states aren't yet working. Not sure if anyone has worked that out yet.
  12. I've attached all the files below if you need them. I've uploaded my info for my STAC9228 (codec#0) to your spreadsheet. I think I've done it correctly, but please check. If you want the HDMI stuff (codec#2) let me know. I'm using a custom DSDT.aml file created using this guide by immo. All patches applied except for the NVidia patch as I don't have an NVidia card, I have an Intel GMA X3100. I do have the HDEF patch, and I've not tried without it yet. I also don't have an HDMI device to test if that is working. VoodooHDA in /S/L/E. If you need any other information, let me know. dump.zip
  13. I have an XPS M1330 but have no idea where to get all the values you've asked for. If you can let me know, or put together a small guide or something, I'll be happy to fill mine in as all my audio is working correctly.

Excellent, it's working correctly then. Is this OK?
