  1. HP dv5t-1000 CTO OSX86 installation guide

I'm on SL with my DV5t now. No webcam, wifi.
  2. I'm trying to dual boot leopard and leopard. I've got them both to boot successfully, however everytime they are both installed, my laptop boots straight to windows 7. So I tried a fix I found on a forum regarding making the OSX partition active in diskpart. After I did this, nothing loads and I get a black screen with a the flickering white line at the top right corner. I dont understand why this happens. OSX worked when I was in it. Chameleon was working before I installed the other OS. I've tried reversing the order of the install to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated
  3. I have a Dv5t that is installed with 10.5.6 at the moment. But I want to move up to SL. Anyboy working on this? Specs: Core2duo 2.26 GZ Nvidia 9600m GT 4GB RAM Thanks in advance
  4. I just got through hackintoshing my DV5t. I used I deneb V1.4 10.5.6, but I would much rather go vanilla SL like my HP 311. I updated chameleon as of now and it looks good, but I prefer Snow leopard and being able to do Vanilla Installs. Has anyone done anything with Snow leopard on the DV5t? Also, currently, only 1/3 of my USB ports is recognized. Is there a fix for that? Thanks!
  5. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

I am no longer able to access my EFI. It says unable to mount?
  6. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

Lemurien's guide says sleep works with tweaking edit: sleep seems to be working fine!
  7. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

I believe that is LeMaurien19's guide on how to boot without verbose. Anyone else done this? Any difference in performance?
  8. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

So I was looking to change the choose OS in chameleon but haven't found one for the hp 311, but I found this. http://mymacbookmini.blogspot.com/2010/01/...from-sleep.html it describes how to boot w/o verbose and has sleep working. Is this a viable option?
  9. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

thanks mosslack, but I've been searching the internet and have come up empty looking for this utility edit: found it edit: I start the utility and then go to com.apple.boot.plist Do I just type instant menu = yes at the top?
  10. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

hey guys I've been looking for a way to access my EFI so I can change my bootloader theme and make it so I always have a choice at startup to which partition I boot. However, I have no idea how to access the EFI
  11. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

I installed the windows through bootcamp using the dual boot guide that was on here a few weeks ago. Would that constitute as a stand-alone partition?
  12. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

so installing the hotfix won't ruin my dual boot?
  13. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests

My problem was I was using a windows computer which doesn't natively mount iso files. A program such as daemon tools is required for those who do not have a mac/hackintosh before installation. Install Related: I already have snow leopard installed using GA and then upgraded to H1. Using your other guide I installed 7 via boot camp...will installing the h4 render my windows partition unbootable? One more thing, if I want to add to my Windows Partition, how do I go about doing that? Thanks theproto, you've done pretty much all the work for the HP 311 and one blog hasn't mentioned your work yet

Maybe I'm missing something, but the I cannot find the instructions. If by Project media, you mean H4, is it in the iso itself? Would I have to mount it? I'm probably missing something.

I actually hadn't thought about making it "real aiport." Seems like a good idea. http://www.mvixusa.com/support/index.php?_...kbarticleid=133 will try that myself later. let me know how it goes
