  5. hi all, i am about to get a new macbook 2.0 ghz but i have a problem, i really want a big hard drive and paying 250 for a 120gb hard drive upgrade doesn't add up to me. now i dont mind opening up my laptop and i was wondering if replacing the hard drive is a good idea. i have searched online and see there is a 160 gb option ( HITACHI Travelstar 5K160 HTS541616J9SA00 (0A28844) 160GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Notebook Hard Drive - OEM) i was wondering what your thoughts and recommendations are on this, weather i should get it or just pay 250 for a 120 gb hd from apple. thanks for all the advice... ps- any suggestions about where to get 2 gb RAM which is good and also cheap?? thanks again
  6. Need some suggestions

Hey people, i need some suggestions, i am currently an apple os x and windows xp user.. i am tired of having to have two laptops- the major issue is that i need to have both running- the mac (12" powerbook g4 1.5 /512 ram/80 gigs) and my old sony (15" fxa 1.4 amd /256 ram/ 40 gig) laptop.. now i plan on getting a new laptop becuase i will be selling the 12" powerbook.. now i want to get another small laptop.. i really would like to get a S series VAIO laptop but i need to be able to run OS X without any issues, now would it be better for me to get a 13" macbook.. even though it looks like a no fills deal- should i get the vaio and hack it.. and put osx... is it stable and worth it??? any suggestions and advice..?? thanks
