1. It's as simple as this: I switched from iPhone to Android, the HTC One X to be specific. I have had no issues with this phone being plugged into my Macbook Pro (10.7 running the latest updates), but for some reason, now when I plug in my phone, my laptop will freeze. But in a very odd sort of way. It's almost like my keyboard completely craps out on me. I can't move the mouse, no key presses do anything (although the escape key took one application out of full screen the other day), but music will keep playing as if nothing is wrong, the clock at the top ticks away with no delay, and if I press the power button, the little pop-up pops up and asks me how I want to shut down, but no matter what I do, I can't move the mouse or make the keys select an option, and I'm forced to do a hard reboot. I tried putting it to sleep by shutting the lid, and then it just hung there with a black screen trying to go to sleep. At first I thought it was only happening when I received a text message while the phone was plugged in, but now I'm not so sure. I have been looking around on the internet and I just can't find ANYTHING even remotely related to this! Sorry for the long post, and any help is much appreciated!
2. Pages and Photoshop won't open files on the first try.

No more suggestions?
3. Pages and Photoshop won't open files on the first try.

4. Pages and Photoshop won't open files on the first try.

I looked up how to check if QE is enabled, got this page http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Enable_Quartz_Extreme_and_Quartz_2D_Extreme I did the: sudo -s defaults read /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver GLCompositor got 256x256 so from what it says, QE is enabled. And I'm pretty sure ALL of my files aren't corrupted. I mean, I don't see how. And it's not that they can't be opened at all, just if Pages isn't already open they won't open and it gives me that error. So, first double click on the file (pages is completely shut down) and I get error message. Second double click on the file (pages is open in background) and it opens right up no problems. This is on any file that I try to open with Pages. .pages, .rtf, .txt, .doc. Pretty much everything.
5. Pages and Photoshop won't open files on the first try.

I fixed Photoshop by reinstalling. I have reinstalled Pages multiple times, but with no luck. Photos below http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn24/jeffsqartan/?action=view&current=Screenshot2012-05-01at15205PM.png http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn24/jeffsqartan/?action=view&current=Screenshot2012-05-01at15057PM.png http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn24/jeffsqartan/?action=view&current=Screenshot2012-05-01at15023PM.png Thanks for the help, sorry for taking so long to reply. The forum didn't tell me you replied.
6. When I double click on a file to open in Pages or Photoshop (I'm not sure if other programs in those suites are having the same problem), if the application isn't already open, then it will start, and give me an error "The document “X” couldn’t be opened" (Pages) and "Could not load default menus because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop" (Photoshop). However, if the program is already running then it has no problem opening the exact same files. Any suggestions?
7. Post Install CPU Recognition

Hm. Well, a couple days after I posted this I found a program called iBench, ran the test, and, if I remember correctly, it said that my cores were running at 2.0 GHz instead of 2.8. Maybe it tested this wrong, but I ran the same test on my MacBook and it identified everything correctly and running at proper speeds. Could there be something changed in my motherboard bios that is keeping it from running at full potential?
8. Ok, so I got my Hackintosh running, and quite strongly. My only problem is with the CPU. I have an Intel Core i5 760, so it's supposed to be recognized as a quad core 2.8ghz processor. But when I click on About this Mac it says it's a 2 GHz Intel Core i5. I just updated to 10.6.7, but I believe I was running 10.6.5 or 6, I can't quite remember. It was still giving me the same result. I don't think it's affecting the actual processing speed, but I'm not entirely sure. At the moment I don't have my hard drive backed up, and it's gonna be a couple weeks before I can, so I don't want to go all crazy downloading kexts and stuff, and couldn't really find anything on the forums about this. Enough rambling, my point is, is this actually affecting my Hackintosh's speed? If so, how can I fix it? And if you can't tell, how could I truly test it? If you can help me, that would be great. If you need more details on my system, I'll gladly give them out. Thank you and have a great day!
9. P55A-UD3 LAN problems

I have been messing around with this, and I reinstalled (after another jacked up lan kext killed the install) and tried the Auto DSDT patcher. The patcher gave me two errors (I'll post those at the bottom) and aborted. I think that might be what I need to install for this to work. I'm back up to 10.6.5 and ran ##### with a DSDT that I got for my mobo. Ran the RealtekRTL81xx_0.0.67 kext and it says that my LAN is connected with IP address and all, but I still can't access the internet. I don't really understand what is going on with that, but I assume that the DSDT patcher can fix it if I can figure out what the error codes are. 10. P55A-UD3 LAN problems

Hola, I'll make this short and sweet: I built a desktop It has a Gigabyte P55A-UD3 mobo with an Intel i5 processor and 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM I've installed Mac OSX using a few different sources I installed using the ##### + ##### trick over on TonyMac Successfully installed to 10.6 two or three times now First time, internet worked, but as soon as I updated to 10.6.5 internet stopped working. Searched for awhile, found a kext for the LAN, tried it, and then couldn't boot into OSX without an ##### disk. Ended up scrapping that and reinstalling. Second reinstall was really jacked (not sure why) so I reinstalled a third time. This time, everything works PERFECTLY on 10.6.5 (on the HCL 10.6.5 OSx86 wiki page I saw my mobo and used what they used) except for my LAN. I am afraid to try new kexts for LAN and end up with the same result as my first install. If anyone has had a successful build on this type of system and a few good suggestions, that would be great. If you need anymore information, let me know and i will gladly give it out to you. Thanks and have a great day!
11. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I don't wish to sound like a noob, and I'm not sure if this has been adressed already, but all I want to know at the moment is if the P7H55-M Pro Asus motherboard has an HPET chip on it. Or, if someone has a success story with Mac on that board and has maybe a small tutorial, that would be great as well. Thanks!
