100% compatible Wifi+BT half mini for my laptop

Thanks a bunch for your reply! I looked at that card but it seems like its a bit out of my price range anything a bit cheaper for the bluetooth combo?
  4. Hello everyone! So I'm itching to install OSX on my Aspire M5-581T but the only thing literally was keeping me from it is the Wifi card. This laptop has an Atheros AR5BWB222 which is a wifi plus bluetooth combination. I think the bluetooth is 4.0, but I'm not too sure on that. What is a good Wifi half mini PCIe that has Bluetooth 4.0 combo that you'd recommend that works OOB + with airport? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  5. Hello everyone! I have finally been able to run and install Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on my Acer Aspire M5 laptop, and let me tell you, my laptop is flying fast! The only thing is that I am unable to use my fn controls on my keyboard. meaning I cant change the brightness on my laptop. The only fn buttons that DO work are: fn+F4 = Puts the laptop to sleep fn+F6 = Turns off screen (In case you are using HDMI and both screens aren't on) fn+F7 = Turns touchpad off fn+F8 = Mutes sound fn+F9 = Turns off keyboard backlight fn+Up arrow = Volume up fn+Down arrow= Volume down The brightness control hotkeys are fn+Left for higher brightness and fn+Right for lower brightness. I have tried the app called "Shades" but it sometimes makes my screen flash randomly from low brightness to the highest brightness i've ever seen on my laptop. Here is my specs: Acer Aspire M5-581T-6405Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2 Processor Name: Intel Core i5-3337U Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 4000 RAM: 6 GB Display: 15.6" HD widescreen CineCrystal™ LED-backlit display (1366 x 768) P.s. I have another issue with not being able to upgrade from 10.8.2 to 10.8.4 I have the 10.8.4 combo update file and when I install the update I get kernel panics that say: Kernel Extensions in Backtrace: com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement and then when I reinstalled 10.8.2 again (fresh install) and I update to 10.8.4 from the update file, I am able to boot up in safemode (with -v -x) mousepad everything works, but I am unable to boot up normally? Thanks for your help
  6. Hello everyone! I'm having some problems with my notebook not being able to boot to install OSX. I keep getting this message with a large circle with slash. Here is a picture of what I am seeing all the time. I use the -v -x and also -f but it doesn't seem to work. My hard drive is in AHCI mode and UEFI is turned off (Downgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 7) I am also using the non UEFI version of iAtkos Mountain Lion since I have UEFI disabled because Windows 7 does not support UEFI. I am trying to install iAtkos ML2 from a USB drive. Here is some more information regarding my Notebook: Computer Brand Name: Acer Aspire M5-581T Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) Build 7601 SP1 Video Chipset: Intel HD Graphics 4000 HDMI Port: Yes Processor Name: Intel® Core i5-3337U CPU @ 1.80GHz (Intel Ivy Bridge) RAM: 6GB DDR3 SDRAM Ethernet Port: Broadcom BCM57780 WiFi card: Atheros AR5BWB222 Card Reader: RealTek RTS5208 USB Ports: 1x 2.0 USB port / 2x 3.0 USB port If more information is needed here is the Acer page for my notebook. http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model-datasheet/NX.M2HAA.009 Thank you so much for the help, I would greatly appreciate it!
  7. I had Voodoo HDA 0.2.2 beta installed on my OSX Leopard (10.5.8) but i heard some crackling sounds when i played songs, even when system sounds would come on. I did some googling and tried MANY kexts that said it would fix the crackling sounds. I installed about 4 kexts, the first kext was a .pkg that supposable fixes sigmatel and many other 'popular' sound companies. When i restarted there was a speaker icon but no sound was coming out. i tried an AppleHDA kext and that didnt work, and the speaker icon was gone. in the end i tried reverting to my old 0.2.2 and the sound still didnt work, and the speaker icon was gone :\ Here are my audio specs: Gateway ML6232 Intel Corp N10/ICH7 Rev02 82801G (ICH7 Family) 8086:27d8 Thank you very much!

  9. I was wondering how can i fix this issue? When i press restart or the updates install and it says to restart, my laptop only shuts down
  10. Hello! I've been having this issue when I'm on Leopard, When i have to restart (Due to some tech issues or something) and my computer logs me back into OSX, I click on safari and i have NO internet. But i did have internet before i restarted. i had to restart and run on my computer many times to get it finally to work. Is there a fix to this? Is there an updated kext that'll fix this issue? Thank you I have a Dell Dimensions E310 Running OSX Leopard 10.5.8
  11. Confirming it works Thank you!!!!!!
  12. Will give this a try! thank you! I was wondering How can i access the /extra/extensions since i am unable to use my mouse or my keyboard. Will linux work? When I try linux and open up the osx partition it says "Read-only" :\ Thank you! ^ |_____ Nevermind i got MacDrive and it mounted my OSX partition Let me see if it works
  13. Hello Everyone! I installed S3 on my Dell Dimensions E310, and S3 worked flawlessly! (Except my menu bar was not transparent) Until I updated from the software update. The updates installed without a problem, my computer rebooted and logged into Snow leopard without any kernel panics. But heres the problem, when my computer logged into Snow leopard, I went to go move the mouse, and the mouse didn't respond, Neither did my keyboard. I looked under my mouse and there was no laser light. I looked at my keyboard and there was no lights either. None of my USB ports are working. I rebooted and when my computer came up to the bios screen my mouse and keyboard lit up. as soon as the "Multi-boot" screen went away to the Apple logo, My mouse and Keyboard shut off. How can I fix this? I cannot get ANY of my USB's to work. I can only use my XP partition and Linux CD's I have: AppleUSBaudio.kext AppleUSBmultitouch.kext AppleUSBTopCase.kext IOUSBfamily.kext IOUSBmassStorageclass.kext AppleUSBDisplays.kext backed up because i read somewhere where i can just replace these from the ones that were installed and my Snow leopard would work again. I also have my old AppleHPET.kext aswell saved onto my flashdrive with the other kexts. Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you!

    Increase Paritition Size?

The only way to do this is to use Paragon Partition Manager, Erase the OSX partition. Resize The windows parition, and there will be some "free space" you create a new parition, boot from the CD and Reinstall.. Other than that It wont be able to happen :\ oh and by the way.. This is in a sticky thread
