  1. Vanilla Install on MSI Wind

Use VoodooHDA.kext! The internal microphone and front panel jacks will work! For the camera, have no idea...
  2. Vanilla Install on MSI Wind

I tried that driver on my Wind, and I have dropouts every 10-12 seconds with OSX 10.6 and my RALink card. I finally gave up and ordered a new WLAN card. Since I did not want B/G only, which is what the Dell 1490 everyone recommends is limited to, I did some googling. I finally found this "Apple Wireless WiFi Card BCM94321 BCM4321" (http://snipurl.com/skfp7) at just over $15. It is dual band on N and also does B/G ofcourse. I also found out that you can buy it as Dell 1505 WLAN, and it will still be detected as a real applecard under OSX. Also found a cached version of an MSIwind.net page containing a howto about putting this broadcom based card in the Wind, but cannot find it just now...
  3. Vanilla Install on MSI Wind

Mine took just under an hour on an 8GB flashdrive from OCZ.
  4. Vanilla Install on MSI Wind

Sorry if it is a lame question, but what file(s) do I need to change permissions on? The application does not exit, but under "Link Status" the link bounces up and down. It will sit at 99% signal strength and 26% Noise level for about 10 seconds, and then it will go to zero for about 2 seconds and then back to 99%. The browser will not load any pages, just error out....
  5. Vanilla Install on MSI Wind

Am I the only one with a RALink WLAN card going for 10.6?
  6. Vanilla Install on MSI Wind

Followed this guide for my Wind U100, but I have the RALink wireless card, so I installed the "STA_RT2860 D- UI-" drivers. Had an earlier version working under OSX 10.5, but this version will not work with 10.6. Link status goes between good and no connection after I enter the WPAkey. Anyone have a RALink driver working on 10.6?
