  1. Hi everyone. I return here after some time hehe. Now I'm on 10.6.8. I'm using the Crazybird way (#20 in mucha's topic) and it's working really nice. LVDS is working (without colors defects and HDMI port too). I've a Acer Aspire 5738Z laptop with a C2D and a mobility HD 4570. What I done: Framebuffer and this stuff from 10.6.8 with mi device ID X2000 kext from 10.6.7 from 10.6.7 (I don't know why and I haven't tested with others) GraphicPowerManagament moded by smarties77 As ever I've OpenGL issue and I don't know if PowerManagament is really working. Watching Lion's screens seems that there isn't OpenGL issue on Lion, is it true? Thanks everyone.
  2. Mobility 4570 Energy saving

Is your CPU working with NATIVE speedstep?? That was my problem, my cpu was working always at 100% and the temperatures were too high. When I patched correctly my DSDT and I was able to use AppleCPUPowerManagement my temps become lowers. You can try to use smbios from a imac 10,1 (if you have a C2D cpu) or 11,1 (if you have a I series CPU)

If are the same, What is the number of the byte for this value? Is the number 13th or 14th? I've this doubt because mucha call to the 13th byte Transmitter and to the 14th byte Encoder. And seems that bcc9 is calling Encoder to the 13th byte. One more question. Anyone knows what means the name before the type? For example, LVDS (7) So, with the new information my personality should be like this, no? 02 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 09 01 00 00 21 xx 00 07 10 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 15 xx 01 01 00 08 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 1E xx 02 02
  4. Can you say something more about your mod? What are the properties that you saw in 2011 mbp? Did that mods only affect to lvds dual link?
  5. Finally I think that the more suitable is iMac10,1, It's C2D + ATI 4670. Now I've Speedstep and agpm. Istat still without working but MSR works, so I'll be able to live with this "issue" hehe. The hdmi port still without working, but I'll do more test now.
  6. MSR Tools works fine ! When I use imac's smbios speedstep doesn't works fine, the cpu is always at 90-100% so it warms a lot! I've tested with a moded DSDT with PS states but the same happens. With macpro's smbios it works fine (in both ways). My laptops has a C2D processor and Imac I-series. Maybe is this the problem?
  7. I can't confirm if speedstep was working properly with imac11,1. Usually I check it with looking the temps and Vcore in Istat, but it wasn't working with imac's smbios. To activate speedstep I use the options GeneratePStates and GenerateCStates in Chameleon RC5.
  8. I get this value when I'm using your smbios (Imac 11,1), not when I use MacPro's(3,1) or MacBookPro's(3,1).
  9. What is supposed to be this? lvds, vga, hdmi? It's yours or from a mbp?
  10. Lion's fb didn't ignore the inject. I've tested to mod the personalities of ATI4600Controller and in ioreg the FB was named ATY,Shrike. My LVDS was detectes but without signal and HDMI wasn't detected. I hope that when Lion arrives officially and the people start to work with it we'll see new improvements.
  11. I've this values when I don't have any display connected in a port. For example now I don't have connected the HDMI cable and I've these values for that port. This is a good question. When I try to inject a personality that is not in ATI4600Controller it is named ATY,ATY,RadeonFramebuffer. About 10.6.7. I haven't updated yet. What happens? Is there 2 packs of ATI kext? Standard and MBP 2011 that are like Lion's?
  12. I've Device VGA and Device GFX0 in my DSDT. In VGA I can find Device CRT,LCD,TV0 and DVI. In GFX0 Device DD01, DD02, DD03, DD04 and DD05 and a lot of methods. At first look the methods of my Device LCD are notserialized. Device (LCD) { Name (_ADR, 0x0110) Method (_DCS, 0, NotSerialized) { If (And (CSTE, 0x0808)) { Return (0x1F) } Return (0x1D) } Method (_DGS, 0, NotSerialized) { If (And (NSTE, 0x0808)) { Return (One) } Return (Zero) } Method (_DSS, 1, NotSerialized) { If (LEqual (And (Arg0, 0xC0000000), 0xC0000000)) { Store (NSTE, CSTE) } } Method (_DDC, 1, NotSerialized) { If (LEqual (Arg0, One)) { Return (DDC4) } If (LEqual (Arg0, 0x02)) { Concatenate (DDC4, DDC0, Local0) Return (Local0) } Return (Zero) } Method (_BCL, 0, NotSerialized) { Return (BCLP) } Method (_BCM, 1, NotSerialized) { Store (One, Local0) Store (0x02, Local1) While (Local0) { If (LEqual (Arg0, DerefOf (Index (BCLP, Local1)))) { Store (Zero, Local0) } Else { Increment (Local1) If (LEqual (0x0B, Local1)) { Store (Zero, Local0) } } } Decrement (Local1) Decrement (Local1) If (^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNCM) { If (^^^^LPCB.EC0.ACST) { Store (Local1, ^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNAC) } Else { Store (Local1, ^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNDC) } } Else { Store (Local1, ^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNAC) } } Method (_BQC, 0, NotSerialized) { If (^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNCM) { If (^^^^LPCB.EC0.ACST) { Store (^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNAC, Local1) } Else { Store (^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNDC, Local1) } } Else { Store (^^^^LPCB.EC0.BNAC, Local1) } Increment (Local1) Increment (Local1) Store (DerefOf (Index (BCLP, Local1)), Local0) Return (Local0) } } Do you know what is the function of Devices TV0, DVI? Maybe we should have one Device LVDS? About Aspire 5738 there are a lot of variants, there is one with touch screen (not mine) but I think that all them are 15'6" with 1366x768 resolution.
  13. When I was using Lion's fb it was detected like HDMI port (0x800). I'll try setting the port like DVI, I don't lose anything checking it.
  14. I tried this at the beginning. But it didn't work. Thanks for your idea. About the fan's noise that we talked some post before. now I've native CPU Power Management with Speedsteep and my Temperatures are lower than before and my laptop is less noisy.
  15. I've the same issue than cOke. LVDS is working but and external monitors detected, but without signal. I've done one more test. I've patches all the Bird FB with this code: Gliff, Kakapo, Quail, Raven and Shrike: 02 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 09 01 00 00 12 00 00 07 10 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 10 01 01 00 08 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 10 01 02 02 Cardinal, Motmot and Peregrine: 02 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 09 01 00 00 12 00 00 07 00 08 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 10 01 02 02 With the 2 output FB I've signal in LVDS and the external display is detected, but it doesn't detect any signal. With Gliff, Quail and Raven the displays are detected, but without signal. Before being black the LVDS turns half gray one second. With Kakapo and Shrike the graphic system doesn't start.
