  1. @Titan999 This is a great idea :censored2: I'm new to mac world, but the most 2 anoyying things that I really miss (or maybe don't know how to do it) are: 1- When I select group of files, I just can't see the total files size of my selection, like in windows, it always show in the side bar, the way I do it now is to move/copy the files into a folder, and get the folder Info. 2- If I'm browsing a folder in the windows explorer, I can always grap the path in the address bar, and copy it, it's useful for programming sometimes, in mac Finder I can do this in a cool way, I drag the icon of the folder from the title bar above to a text file (or the place I want the path to be pasted on), it's cool, put I would really have loved if I can copy this by right click, also even if I show the Info dialog and try to select the full path from there from the "Where:" field, it doesn't allow to select these are not going to stop earth spining , but it's really annoying that MAC! doesn't have easy do it way(or I don't know them) ok, to be honest, this is not the end of my list os small things, but I'm trying to see is me being new, or mac doesn't have it.
  2. new interface is good, but not because the new interface itself, it's because it means the UI team in apple are busy. For me I do like the new theme, although I miss the old one, hopefully it will bring some new Mac interface that as successful as it's anncestors
  3. Is search included in the new iPod update 1.2?
  4. No Merom notebooks until 2007?

Hay Guys; Good news, MBP will have Merom before 2007! Well, this is the only way I can get my life back after I heard the rumer , but really, after reading all the comments about this rumer here and there, I started to see it's not true, Apple always supprise people, and definatly it's going to supprise the guy that wrote the artical. , now I can sleep
  5. No Merom notebooks until 2007?

Me too, I will wait for Merom, it's not reasonable to buy MBP without it, Merom is the latest Laptop processor, and if apple want us to buy their laptops they have to have it like the others, after all they choose to switch to Intel. Don't get me wrong I'm not upset from Apple, I will be if I buy now a MBP (now after Merom is out) and after a month or so Apple release MBP with Meroms, So I will wait, and still hoping that during this month we will have another suprise like the 24" iMac, I really don't care much about new iPod or iPhone (I do but not as much as for a new MBP) Apple?
  6. Software Piracy

Hi; There are several ways to look at this matter, and this is mine. I did at part of my life do it, but that was when I was a student, I can't afford to buy the software I wanted and I had to gain the knowledge, I don't know how to crack a software and go into the code to override registration information or generate a key, the DARK SIDE of the computer has it's charm, BUT, I was always busy learning or working to pay the bills. In my current Job, I learned allot about what are the benefits of buying a legal copy, including support, and taking part in having a better next version of the software you use, since it's your favored software. But really, let's look at it this way, people use pirated software because they are a free copy of a good programmes, and this is harmful for them, and they don't realize it, by doing so, they are eliminating the necessity, and this will not push other companies or talented programmers to create alternatives, these that can be either in lower price, OR even free, this is how I see the piracy harming people. Companies they know people use pirated copies of their product, and they are happy with it, actually, I bet that they supply hints about how to do it, this is a marketing strategy, let people get used to our product, and they will buy it when we realse one and delay the cracks , yes this is true for allot of people. Is this good or bad? well, hay, they want you to use their product, this is their right, they spent money and time building this, and they want you to buy it, it's you who used piracy, eliminated the necessity, and created the monopoly, and increased the price, it's your fault, and they are right, we did do this to ourselves. I'm switching to Mac, after a BIG disappointment trying to switch to Linux (from bigger disappointments in windows, or so I wish to think ), So I'm checking the list of software that I will be using, and it turn out that I'm going to spend some money on this, but the good news is, I'm going to spend money on software that will get me money, and I'm going to use an OS that has almost all the essential stuff (still checking ) that I used to pay or ..., and they are free Long post, Sorry for that, it's just another boring day in the office, the good news is that alternatives for some are coming, which means lower price in the future (hopefully for those who don't switch).
  7. iAnnoyance Winner: "Stoplight"

Hay, I kinda agree with some on leaving the default behavior, what I had in mind is something like, if I press ctrl and I press the red close button, it terminate the application otherwise it behave as default. Great work, Thanks for everybody!!!
  8. Hi again; I have decided I will buy a MacBook Pro 17" as soon as the merom mac hit the market, I have spent sometime with mac that convenced me that I waisted so much time in my life not using mac osx, to be honest, I installed it as a vm on my computer and installed some stuff of my work on it, and discovered that it has the best work flow ever!!! Thanks for the people that helped me make my decission
  9. Thanks! But tell me, from what I heard even when the merom processor is out, the chipset will be delayed till next year, how much of an effect is this? performance wise, and what do usually apple offer for upgrades? Ferrari is a cool machine, and I really feel sorry if I have to sell it, specially mine, unfortunatily, I wanted to install MacOSX, just to fully get used to till I buy a Mac (eventually I will do it), but it doesn't install at all. Thanks again!
  10. Hi; I'm intending to switch to Mac, after using a mac in my office to do some development work, I relized that this is the OS I should use , anyway, I will still have to have windows (for gamming ), anyway... I need to know if anyone have an idea if I replace my current Ferrari 4005 with a MacBook Pro 17", if I'm switching to better or worse? I know that I will not feel much differnce doing coding work, but what about graphics works (photoshop, 3D and so) and what about gamming (under windows), am I goign to notice a +/-? Another question would be, how much of a difference between core due and core 2 due, should I wait for the later, specially I read that even when released, the chipset will not be ready. I appreciate your comments. Thanks!

  12. Native on Ferrari 4005?

Hay Guys; I have downloaded Mac OSX 10.4.6 JaS, and successfully install it with VMware as a virtual machine, so I decided to install it natively, but then I read in this forum that this will not work and it didn't work for people who have Ferrari 4005, can I know why? and is there any successful stories? anyone has a way to do it? Eventually I'm planning to move to Mac, I have tested one in work (not mine ) and I like it, somehow I feel I will be more productive with it (yah yah yah) , I just need to get my hand dirty with it before I put a budget and buy one, and I mostly going to wait for the new 10.5 which is suppose to be in 2007. Thanks for this wonderful forum!!!
