  1. Waiting for root device means the machine cannot access the boot drive, probably means your USB ports are not recognised by OSX, try burning to a disk.
  2. The reason the Dedicated GPU will not work is because of the switching method of our machines. The only way to use the Dedicated GPU is by disabling the Intel 3000, but it would not allow you to use the internal screen. Basically the dedicated GPU works by routing through the intel 3000, OSX does not recognise this switching method, and as such graphics switching will not work at all.
  3. USB 3.0 on alienware machines is not supported. Boot off the ESata port as it is the most stable under OSX without DSDT edits.
