    Asus Z170-Deluxe And You!

Success! Got it working. No more waiting for root device and the circle with the crossed line is gone. GUI second stage is loaded. But I don't have USB support. So no keyboard and mouse is working. I am using 2 USB connectors at the top of my case. Mouse and keyboard is connected to USB 2.0. On the board backside I only have USB 3.0 connectors. Do I need an additional driver? What can I do get USB working? Any special boot parameter?

    Asus Z170-Deluxe And You!

Got it to work. The hidden EFI partition was empty on the boot stick. I don't know why. Now the stick is booting, drivers are loading (intel e1000, nvme (Sm951)...) Then the bluetooth controller gets detected. After that the graphics get garbled. I am using a EVGA GTX 980TI card. Next message is "still waiting for root device". Will I have to use the integrated Intel 530 HD Graphics, then install the Web-Installer from NVidia for the GTX980 for get this working? What's the problem with "waiting for root device"? (Asus Z-170-Deluxe, i7-6700k, Evga GTX 980TI SC ACX2.0, Samsung 950 Pro/M2 512MB, HDD 4 TB)

    Asus Z170-Deluxe And You!

Now I have disabled secure boot successfully. But I still can't boot the osx installer from my usb stick. still not working. A debian installer or windows installer is working on this stick. Strange. I have created the usb stick with clover v2.3k special edition. I installed the el captain installation files, cloverefi64 sata, bootloader, Drivers64UEFI (aptiofix2). Then I have copied/replaced the files on the usb with the z170 files from the first post. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Asus Z170-Deluxe And You!

I can't disable Secure Boot. I only have the option (other OS). Bios Version is1402. When I choose to boot from the USB Boot Stick (or the USB UEFI Partition) the cursor is blinking but the system does not boot and then jumping back into the bios. Is there something I can do?

    Asus Z170-Deluxe And You!

Ok. Thank you. I will try it. Will I need to use a special tool/app to create the USB Installer? (or only the installer?) Should I create the needed partitions for multiboot first in the disk utility , then Install OSX first, then Windows 10 and then Linux? After that fix the OSX Bootmanager with modification/re-enabeling of Clover?

    Asus Z170-Deluxe And You!

Hello, I have already OSX 10.8 successful running on a 7 year old Asus P6TD-Deluxe motherboard. Now it's time to move to a new system. At the end of next week I am getting my new Asus Z170-Deluxe motherboard with an I7-6700k, 32GB Ram and a Samsung M2 SSD MZ-V5P512BW. I have already created a El Caption USB installation media. (original Apple unaltered). What do I additional need to install OSX on this system? On my old system I had triple boot (Win7, OSX, Debian) configuration. Is this possible on the new system (Win10, OSX10.11, Debian 8.3)? I would be happy about some hints about the installation so I could do some preparations in the meantime until the new components arrive. Thank you in advance.

[Sound Problem] AD2000B did not work

I used the myHack installer. This solution is working best for me. I also used different distros like iAtkos etc but I had problems with them. Installation went fine but booting the OS did not work then. I use the myHack installer method since Snow Leopard. For Mountain Lion I have tried another solution but it failed again. So I came back to the myHack installer. Installation was smooth. (also my PS2 Keyboard works). After installation you have to do a bit fine tuning with installing the kexts for the not working devices. You have to do a bit research (had also trouble with yukon/marvell ethernet lan but I got it also working later) but when all kexts and chameleon bootloader is installed all works fine. At the moment I am also doing a fresh install of my OS'es because I upgraded my system with a new SSD. I am using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Macosx 10.8.5 and Debian Linux 7.01 with triple boot configuration. Win7 and OSX is installed already so only Linux is left. When I have installed Windows (tried Win8 Pro to see how it looks and feels, but dropped it after 15mins) I got my bootloader exchanged/destroyed on my first harddrive so no OSX and Linux work anymore I have disabled the harddisk in Bios but Windows sees it even it is disabled. So I recovered the bootloader to boot Win7 again and start from scratch. This time disconect the power cable from the harddrive so the system can't see/use it. Re-installed Win7 on the SSD. After the re-connect the harddrive to my system. Now I am able to boot my old Win7 from the harddrive. Next I need to use OSX in a VM because my old Snow Leo did not work anymore. Prepared the myHack Installer usb stick in the VM and then installed OSX on the SSD. Yes this was my installation marathon until now...

[Sound Problem] AD2000B did not work

No. I got it working earlier that night (4:00 a.m.). Now I wanted to post my solution for helping you. But you were just a bit faster in posting the solution! I acknowledge my defeat.

[Sound Problem] AD2000B did not work

I found a solution. Sound is now working without problems. It's working fine on Mountain Lion 10.8.4/5 , Asus P6TD DELUXE Just drag n drop all those kext in Kext Utility. Install the attached files in S/L/E! The file is for the P5Q Deluxe board but the P6TD DELUXE uses the the same chip. Found it here: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1436-adi-ad2000b-for-asus-p5q-deluxe/ 2444-Sound AD2000B P5Q Deluxe.zip

  11. I just have installed OSX 10.8.4 with the myhack usb installer on my Asus P6TD Deluxe. All is working so far only the sound is making problems. The AD2000B is not working. What can I do to fix the problem? Which .kext should I use? Update to OSX 10.8.5 worked without any problems. My system specs are: Processor: Intel Core i7 920 @2,67 MHz MainBoard: Asus P6TD DELUXE Chipset: Intel 875P Northbridge: Intel X58 rev 13 Southbridge: Intel 82801JR (ICH10R) rev 00 RAM: Corsair DDR3-SDRAM 12288 MB Sound: ADI AD2000B 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC LAN: 2x Marvell88E8056 PCIe Gigabit LAN controllers Videocard: EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 285 HardDisk: Samsung HD103UJ 1 TB SSD Samsung 840 EVO 2,5" 500 GB best regards JackBauer24
  12. Hello, long time ago I have installed OSx86 10.6 on my Asus P6TD Deluxe Motherboard. I have installed Win7 Ultimate x64, Debian Linux and OSx86 10.6.2 (I think) on my hard drive. Now I have bought a new Samsung 500GB SSD drive to upgrade my system. I want to do a fresh install on the SSD (also with upgraded actual OS'es). Is it possible to install OSx86 10.8 on Asus P6TD Deluxe ? Haven't found anything here in the forums. Any special preparations necessary? My old OSX installation is still available. Any special system files/system package needed? I think I should first Install OSX 10.8. then Windows 8.1 and at last Debian Linux. Correct? Is there any installation guide for installing OSx86 10.8 on Asus an P6TD Deluxe? I would be happy if someone could give me some hints regarding the installation. Thank you. best regards JackBauer24
