  1. Dell E5420 Boot problem

Just place these two in your Extra/Extension folder and you should be ok. Archive2.zip
  2. Should be fine. I did have Mald0n create me a DSDT, he is just awesome. I did, however, had to add the "DualLink" edit to the DSDT, else I will get a black screen on my Laptop screen. Here is what I added the following below the line " Name (_ADR, 0x00020000) " under "Device (VID) " , used DSDTSE to edit and complie and video works with full 1600x900 resolution. Don't know about QE/CI though. But, YouTube videos just play fine. Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x02) { "AAPL00,DualLink", Buffer (0x04) { 0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } Other than that I did change the Wifi card as mentioned in my orginal post. That card, btw, works by default in Windows 7. Let me know if you need help with Dual/Triple boot with Windows 7/XP.

Installed Chimera 1.5.3 to the USB, copy the attached Extra folder to the root of the USB Boot from the USB and install (Used the MBR Patch to modify USB so that can install to MBR) May need a USB Mouse and Keyboard during install/ initial setup. Boot from the USB Installer copy the Extra folder, install Chimera 1.5.4 , Run Kext Wizard Post-install: Replaced wireless with Azureware AR5B95 Half Mini from eBay ($4.50) and used the attached Kext and wireless works without any problem. Use the attached Kext for Ethernet, may need to set the Mac Address manually to get the ip address. Use something like this (change accordingly for your Mac Address) : sudo ifconfig en0 ether b8:ac:6f:c8:e9:e3 For battery, use the attached Kext. did have to Delete /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterface.plist and reboot to get App Store and Face Time working. 4. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Hey Mald0n, Can you generate DSDT for my Dell Latitude E5420? Thanks. send_me_ks.zip
  5. WiFi-Stick for Lion?

Zonet USB adapter I have used this with both SnowLeo and Lion. Got it for $9.99 @ the local MicroCenter
  6. Installed Lion GM using your guide. Thanks. Had to replace AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext from Snow Leopard for the USB installer to boot. Also, had to replace IO80211Family.kext from Snow Leopard for the Dell Wireless 1505 to work. VoodooHDA works for Audio.
  7. Finally got DP4 loaded onto my M1330. Had to replace AppleACPIPlatform, IOPCIFamily & IONetworkingFamily kexts from the Snow partition. Ethernet working, Can't get Wireless (DW 1505) working with Snow Kexts. Wireless works just fine in Snow Leopard. I did have to get rid of ElliottForce*.kext for the USB Installer to boot and a few other changes. Will upload the udated install folder soon. EDIT: Now, I can get the wireless card recognized (copied IO80211Family.kext also from SL), still can't connect though. Here is the modified "install" folder: install.zip
  8. Supported Graphics cards with Full QE/QI

I get QE/CI with full resolution on my Dell XPS M1330 (NVIDIA 8400GS) with Natit.kext itself, didn't need NVEnabler at all. Just copied Natit.kext from Extra/Extension from my Snow Leopard install to the same folder under Lion.
  9. 10.7 Lion DP2 on a Dell Optiplex 755

Used this to Install Lion on my M1330. Just removed Extra/Extensions folder, was giving me KP.
  10. Finally got this working on my Dell XPS M1330. Use the attached Kext found @ http://code.google.com/p/osx-bcm5906m/ osx_bcm5906m_kext.zip

Machine Specs : CPU: Intel Core Solo U1500 RAM : 1.5GB Graphics Processor: Intel®Graphics Media Accelerator 950 VideoRAM: 224MB Total Available Graphics Memory13 Chipset: Intel®945GMS Interface: VGA out w/ Smart Display Sensor WirelessLAN: Intel®PRO/Wireless3945ABGNetwork Tried all kinds of boot CDs to boot to the Retail DVD, just won't work. So created my own using the BootCDMaker. You will need and external VGA monitor, USB Mouse and Keyboard to finish the installation. Once you get it to boot, just install Snow. On first boot, re-install the AppleIntelGMA* and AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext (attached GMA950.zip) from this thread, and Display works with proper resolution. Installed Chameleon 2 RC3 r658 and copied the contents on Extra.zip to the Extra folder and ran Kext Utility. Installed the attached ApplePS2Controller.kext to get the Keyboard and Mouse working. You will have to remove the *Trackpad.kext from the Plugins of the above kext to get the Touchpad working. Used the latest VoodooHDA installer to get the sound working. Only thing (that I need) is not working is the Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG. If somebody could help with that, that would be awesome. In the meanwhile, using the Zonet Wireless G USB adapter ZEW2508 for wireless, (Wireless Utility app attached). BootCD.iso.zip ApplePS2Controller.zip Extra.zip USBWireless_10.6.zip GMA950.zip
  12. help with Intel GMA 965 (X3100) on Snowleopard

Install VoodooHDA.kext and ApplePS2*kext from /Extra folder with KextHelper, remove them from the Extra folder, run KextUtility. After boot, you should have sound working. For some reason VoodooHDA doesn't work out of the Extra folder. Also, to get trackpad "tapping" work, select ApplePS2Controller.kext under /S/L/E , Show Content , remove Apple..Trackpad.kext , run KextUtility, reboot. Tapping should work now.
  13. help with Intel GMA 965 (X3100) on Snowleopard

I just followed Superhai's guide Snow Leopard install guide on another forum and just had to use the DSDT mod for the graphics. You can do a google search on "Superhai Dell XPS M1330 guide" and you should be good to go. I used Superhai's DellSnow boot cd ( v0.5) http://www.superhai.com/boot-test.html and Snow Leo retail disk (10.6.3) You may need an external monitor for Install and the first boot. Once you have the DSDT thing figured out, you should be good to go.
