  1. [UEFIPatch] UEFI patching utility

Thanks for the reply CodeRush. My apologies, re-read the first post Anyways I attempted to flash it and the file did not pass file security verification. I think there is a way I can force flash the file and bypass security check by putting the BIOS on a USB key and doing a special flashing method. I'll give it a try and report back. Thanks.

  3. Thanks blackosx! That did it! It created the Extra folder just fine. I guess you fixed targeting the 'target volume'?! Could give me some info on Resolution.dylb? I'm trying to get my GTX 470 to make Chameleon boot at 1920x1080. The highest res in my video cards VESA is 1280x1024 and that's the most I can get. I thought the options I selected here would give the high res boot but it didn't. Here's the new log. Will tinker around a bit more. 5. Information on VESA modes in ATI&NVIDIA bios

Same here, no change after Hex edit and flash. 100% sure I edited as per instructions, and flashed successfully too.
  6. How to Unstretch the Chameleon Boot Screen

I have tried DieBuche's method to add 1920x1200 to my video card BIOS and I believed I added the code properly, but there was no difference in the resolution. Maybe your method plus his video card BIOS mod will work?! I hope so...will try it this weekend.
  7. How to Unstretch the Chameleon Boot Screen

Gonna give this another try tonight. Last time I tried it I got a nice clean and crisp 1280x1024 on my GTX 470...but I couldn't get 1920x1080. 1920x1080 was specified in the boot plist. Maybe because the highest VESA mode supported by the card is 1280x1024 so I'm out of luck??? EDIT: So your code ONLY DISABLES THE SCALER (allowing higher resolutions)???? In this case the ONLY thing that specifies the resolution to ACTUALLY use is <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32</string> Is that correct? Thanks Mac Boy!
  8. Hey guys, sorry for the late reply! Haven't been on these forums for a month...everything has been running so beautifully I had no need to come on Anyways Tom, got your PM. The extra voltage will definitely help you get to 4.8GHz stable...but like you said the 300MHz isn't worth it. For me it's ok, I'm on watercooling so my temps are probably the same as yours even with the extra voltage. Also, I buy a new CPU every 2 or 3 years regardless, and at these volts this CPU won't die within 5 years for sure, I know from a lot of overclocking experience I haven't been able to get sleep working 100% either! Didn't bother stressing over finding a fix since I don't use sleep anyways. I run my comp 24/7 or just turn it off if I'm away for a long time. As for the PSU chirping sounds, my AX750 never makes any sounds, even under heavy load...you should get yours exchanged...... And for the cables, I got all my stuff from DazMode Water cooling store here in Canada He has a lot of cabling, everything you could ever need Fast shipping too. And Sclice...I'm not even gonna answer your question because the answer will depress me, lol!!! We both know this ain't no budget PC I buy mostly all of my parts when they are on sale from CanadaComputers or NCIX...but this build still isn't very cheap. I'd say over or around $2000. The watercooling is EXPENSIVE. But is quiet, sexy, and cool
  9. My Lion Success story! Only thing that doesn't work is SLEEP, which I don't really care for so no big loss. I keep my computer running, and if I do shut it down, it takes 30 seconds to boot to the desktop off the SSD. If you really want sleep on this motherboard, DSDT edits are the answer. 10. Is There Any Simple Way to INstall a GTX 295

Got my old GTX 295 working 100% on 10.6-10.6.4 with ANARCHiNTOSH's Guide Couldn't get it to work with 10.6.5 though, I think it was just MY particular version of the GTX 295 though...cause I've seen a couple success stories for 10.6.5
  11. fermi/gtx 480/gtx 470

Anyone have this working with a GTX 295? (I know it's old ) I see my device ID (05e010de) in the NVD50Hal.kext for this new driver set. It's not in the GF100hal kext tho, added it and still nothing Both GraphicsEnabler on Yes or No leads to a blank blue screen, just shy of getting to the desktop
  12. Was wondering the same thing too Looks like onboard audio is getting really good these days, making creative's audio cards useless...even for gaming the real world performance difference is negligible.
  13. Quoting myself, haha. So many posts in this thread...thought I'd share this again for those who missed it. Try my files! You'll have to generate your own EFI String in com.apple.Boot.plist unless you're running a GTX 295 Good luck! Extra.zip
  14. Just for you My Ram is overclocked alot...But I've tested it extensively in Windows. I've been overclocking for a long time so I know it's stable. For guaranteed stability, use the 2.0D divider, the Ram will be slower but you can tighten up the timings...such as 5-5-4-12 PL 8. Ram is funny, you just have to try ONE setting at time, reboot and test, change one thing, reboot and test...long process but once you find the perfect settings it'll be worth it
