    i searched through all the pages and there are a few threads on the topic but they are simply questios like mine left unanswered

  3. Dudes! Your awesome! Scratch what I just said, I didn't install USB or card bus drivers and I had a sucessful boot! My laptop is officially part Mac! Thank you guys so much for your help! And again, I'm sorry I was an impatient noob... The only thing left is to install the network and USB drivers I need and I'm set! If I need help with that I know I can count on you guys! Thanks for all your help!
  4. alright ill try flexer's idea if I cant get this to work. all of the above allowed me to boot into mac when i didnt install a PS/2 driver. the mac screen asked me to plug in a keyboard. well i dont have a PS/2 port for a keyboard on my laptop. and i dont have a usb keyboard either. i think the problem lies between the ACPI drivers. i have two one is x86 ACPI and the other is plain ol ACPI driver. both say not to install voodooPS/2, to use ApplePS/2 instead. but if i install either one when i boot up mac it freezes. How do i fix this?
  5. 1. i do apologize for my impatience. i was just getting irritated with the install not working. i kept asking questions on this site and others and i felt as though i was being ignored. 2. i did install the voodoo kernel (9.7.0 to be exact) is that cool? 3. i did customize the install but didnt know about the VGA and ethernet/wifi rule ill try that 4. how do i install these ACPIPlatfrom fixes and ASMBIOS patches of which you speak? before or after install? 5. how do you install SATA controller driver and when? 6. what am i looking for in BIOS?
  6. WTF?!?! does nobody know?
  7. hey would this work for AMD Turion X2 64? i try to install the setup.cmd and i get the following: VMware ISO Signature Creator 2.0.0 ================================== Core=VMware Player InstallPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Player\ File not found - C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Player\tools-key.pub 0 File(s) copied 0 File(s) copied 1 file(s) copied. 1 file(s) copied. Whats up with that?
  8. Probably a dumb question but what about AMD Turion X2 64? I know Mac OS usaully doesnt work on AMD stuff, but how about this? My CPU supports VT-x.
  9. okay...since my last post on this topic was COMPLETELY ignored maybe someone can help me with this less complicated question. what OSx86 installation would ANYBODY suggest for the following: Computer specs: Toshiba Satellite P-305D S8900 laptop AMD Turion X2 64 AMD M780V chipset ATI Radeon 3100 series Atheros AR9281 built-in wifi adapter Marvell Yukon 88E8040T Ethernet adapter 4GB Ram Hitachi ATA HDD if more info needed please say so. Iv used iAtkos and iPC installations with no luck. iAtkos installs sucessfully but i get this screen when booting up: iv tried a variety of drivers and i get the same end result. any idea how to fix it or maybe a more suitable installer?
