  1. How to switch Mac / Win partition sizes?

    This may help. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php...52&t=597257
  2. Apple Releases Boot Camp update

There is a discussion about this at the Apple site. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...18&tstart=0 This may or may not help your problem. Worth a read though.
  3. Apple Releases Boot Camp update

Apple released an update to Boot Camp today for Windows not Leopard The new version is 2.1 Build 210A12. This is supposed to remedy some of the problems users are having. Because I am already running Vista x64 with Apple 64 bit drivers I can't say if this will support x64 or not. So far there seems to be no change, but I had almost zero problems before. Strange but on the Canadian Apple site there is no reference to this update. But Apple software updates installed it fine. The size is "almost" 250 megs or somewhere around that. I am running a iMac 24" Aluminum with 2.8 ghz Extreme processor. Maybe this update will help others.
  4. Can I update my vid card with non boot camp drivers?

Go here, http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php read and follow there instructions, exactly. I use AMD regular drivers for Vista 64bit and they work fine. Caffinefine

  9. Inside the 24 inch iMac

Caslon, I too own a 24" iMac Aluminum. A couple of months ago you said you would be posting some pictures of that one disassembled. If you have them could you still post them. I've heard that you can change the graphics card and if I get the need to someday it would be nice to have the pictures as a walkthrough. Thanks Caff

Other than the motherboard, all the hardware I have in this case works and is recogcause. I swapped this board for an AsRock P4i65G intel board and OSX 10.4.6 installed without a hitch. Good luck

  12. Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh

KJY9 Where's is it? I've never seen that option before.
  13. Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh

Point of Interest. After downloading and installing O2007B2TR, on first run of Outlook I was offered an opportunity to download an additional package from MS called "Windows Desktop Search". And lo and behold isn't it a close replica of Apples "Spotlight" It places a search bar within the Windows task bar. Just like "Spotlight" type in a word and it searches your drive for referennce to that word. Also a little of topic, sorry The new iTunes 7 adds there own "software update wizard" to Windows that looks and acts just like the one used on the Macs. It gives the non Mac users a similar feel to how things work if they were using a Mac. Smart move. caffine
  14. I'm really hesitant on posting this and hopefully it's only a problem that I've encountered and will not affect anyone else. To start with, my system runs generic DVD release 1 with the 5c patch. All has been great. I've had no problems downloading iTunes 5 and iPhotos latest update. I't even installed iLife minus iDVD(which renders a hardware requirement problem) Today I started up normally, browsed this site, read some comments then headed over to Apple to see if there mite be some info on x86 10.4.2. I noticed on the main page under downloads that Quicktime had released 7.0.1. So I downloaded and installed it. At the end of the install I noticed that the version was actually 7.0.2. From what little I've learned about Apple, they don't generally make typo errors. As the install began I was alerted that my machine would need a reboot upon completion. I thought I should try to repair my disk permissions before I rebooted. Nope DiskUtility would not start, nor would a Terminal. I reboot and now I'm stuck at the Mac Progress bar screen, I've booted several times including -s -x -v. In single user I can get to a root prompt but I can't repair permissions and even if I could I don't think it will help. At one point I had left the computer and came back 15 minutes later still to be at the Progress bar screen. So I'm going to have to reinstall. Again this my be isolated to me but you may want to be a little more careful in what you accept from the Apple Site. Caffine
