  1. Here is what i done to get my system going again updated the bios to 2704 it was a great help. did the usual bios setting boot os= other xhci auto graphics to pcie, vtd disable, xmp profile 1, boot device to usb. Now off to fix the video resoltution and hdmi audio.
  2. i was able to get it going on maverics with hdmi sound but no luck on yosemite it installs fine but does not let me run anything after that
  3. did you try with a seprate osx compatible video card as that was the scret ingredient in my hackintosh
  4. Yes as i had been in the same boat .....so learn from been there done that .....or reinvent the wheel, choice is yours. Simple fix for me was to use the compatible video card and i booted into installer. i know it is hard to imagine why others flavours of asus z97 work as opposed to this one with on board graphics and it is the realtively new and unsupported z97 chipset, and cpu combo so either you can buy a new graphics card or a diffrent read gigabyte itx board or wait for next version of OSX when everything will work.
  5. I was able to boot into the installer by just changing the video card to compatible HD5700 lying around from a previous built and using the Bios setting listed here thanks.
