[AMD] 10.6.8 Guide - written by Devout

Yes i checked it with no success I posted my dsdt on the dsdt forum if you could perhaps have a look and see if it is a problem with that as i am not 100% sure about dsdts , i have been researching for a month with no progress. I feel like i am ready too give up on the osx86 project until i get a new system as it is rather annoying only having 1 core enabled, you genuises are my last hope I use my system for music production and djin so it is a big loss of resources only having 1 core enabled. would any other boot flags help me , the flags i tried usually were arch=i386 cpus=2 busratio=18 -v (my cpu is only x 13 ) but as the guide stated i tried too see if it made a difference yet i still cannot get it booting with 2 cores Thanks for Reading
  4. Hello, I have been trying too get Snow Leopard running with both cores for around a month now with no success. I Beleive it must be to do with the dsdt as it works in single core mode no problem My chipset is a AMD 690 and the motherboard is a MSI K9 AGM 3 CPU is a 2.6ghz LE 1640 x2 I tried removing the cpu alias code yet this hasnt worked here is a copy of the unmodified dsdt Really hope one of you Geniuses can help with my problem DSDT.aml.zip

Hello i have recently set up hackintosh on a amd system, I am using haard 10.6.2 the install goes fine yet when i run cpus=2 flag it never boots showing both cpu cores and my system is usable but too slow too use everyday is this problem perhaps because i never have managed too get the video driver installed is it standard for osx to only run 1 core until the video drivers are loaded correctly??? any pointers would be great im using a 2.6ghz dual core amd with a amd 690 chipset and a nvidia 9600 1gb video card any help would be much appreciated thanks guys

[AMD] 10.6.8 Guide - written by Devout

Hi there i am currently running 10.6 10a432 hazard release. i followed your guide restored the 10.6.3 retail to a partition on my 500gb osx drive, the partition with my restored install dvd is 0,7. i restored the image installed modusb , yet it didnt find the modbin kernel i tried selecting 0,0 as partition too boot as you state in the tutorial again no joy could not find kernel. im assuming i need too change the rd command too 0,7 as thats where the install image is i have followed the further guide using my hack and the boot cd 10.5 instructions copying the extra and usr folders yet when i boot it gets to loading darwin kernel then crashes , there is obviously something i am missing as it cant find the amd kernel , can you give me any advice too what i should try next thanks

    AMD CPU Problem

Hello there , i am using snow leopard 10.6 gm hazard release to boot to SL i can not get it running with both CPU cores. I ran a copy of marvins amd utiility to patch the CPUIDS right after install , when i try to boot using the cpus=2 flag, only 1 cpu core only ever shows up in system info , the cpu itself is a AMD 2.6ghz am2+ dual core . i find it too slow too work with in single core mode as i am always usually running DJ software or Music making programs and really want too try get something sorted asap the motherboard in question is a msi k9agm3 i have no bios updates and no customiation for cores in my bios . also 2 things im slightly unsure of , the FAKESMC and DMOS from the hazard install disk were left as default could perhaps changing any of these settings stop me from booting in dual core mode ??? can anyone point me in the right direction as to anything else that could perhaps help me get this fully set up =D
  11. hi guys i have tried running the cpus=2 flag using the modbin kernel. my amd x2 am2+ 4800 only ever shows 1 core in activity monitor, does anyone have any advice regarding how i could perhaps fix this?? thanks im using i atkos 10.5.7 in the cpu options i think i didnt check speedstep is that perhaps why it didnt work or should i leave that unchecked
