  1. Try Loading OSX using a dell lap top then take the driver and transfer it to the Toshiba and see waht happens I just did it with mom's Toshiba and boy was I shock when it booted right up intot he OS with out a hitch, but, I need an audio driver. The broadcom driver worked as well for the Toshiba M115-S1061. In fact I am online with it right now lol.
  2. Has Any One Heard Of XxX_10.5.5_leo_install

ah I see, well, i am planing to go with a mac in the very near future. after realizing how much easier it is to use, plus, and yes, I have seen the forum for this install. I also realized that I have cut down the need for disks by 85 percent...it is amazing MAC doesn't come with much crapware. it simply just works..took me a while to figure out all I have to do is "delete" what I don't want. any how this thing is up and running with no glitches eh unless I happen to leave a card in the card reader and then eject it ouch after restarting. I am most defiantly impressed It is astalavista vista after I get the one video edited..with the new camera I'll be getting and OSX snow leopard and hopefully a new mac, I can get down to some real business. I hope to be able to convert my mother though...I am willing to pay for something works then for something that doesn't, and I beta tested Win7 I hate the calling home feature. I like to test things before I get it oh did I mention tat I have even my epson printer working lol... I just wanted to say thanks for at least providing a way for a person to see what this software is about.. Heard Snow leopard will run on Intell PC . that 29.00 upgrade is sure a shock.. Oh have you guys had a chance at that program that I uploaded, I lost the post ..it is the broad com driver as a package so far it seems to work on 10.5.6 and up. and where is the proper place and procedure for doing something like that? ok thanks for the heads up.
  3. Hope This Will Save Headaches

Ok for those of you a tad nervous on using the "Console" method Here is a pacakge that I found that seemed to have vanished. This package can be installed and ran even after using the down loaded Updates up to 10.5.8. I stumbled across this driver and saved it . I hope it is a big help for newbys. Broadcom.pkg.zip
  4. It turns out that I had stumbled across a distro that is rather unique in that it does not have the Chameleon , it has no interface, other then the text that boots into. No special commands are found and I am not sure if it is still being seeded or not. but this disk has been so far the fastest and least breaky of all. I have tried. I even tried a 10.5.7 disk with chameleon but it broke after up dating to 10.5.8. I realize that there are many distro's out there and I won't bash any one one of them as we all have different systems. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. I realize I am a newbee. But, I can adapt and learn. I have been a windows user for a longtime and I am really sick of the stacks and stacks or disks I have that have partial this an that called {censored} ware. I will be saving up for a real mac and would like to say thank you for opening my eyes to a new world. Yes i have used Linux based Os's but I believe this s a "Unix"? system?" and I have noticed many commands are the same and probably a few different ones as well. I also would like to say that It was out of sheer desperation that I had chosen to down load this I use choen because it was a decision I made knowing fully that it may or may not be supported, might have bugs and other issues.. I hope to learn and grow in my knowledge and i hope to contribute for the greater good. thanks for having me here is a litle data about my system.
