  2. Hello all, I got a new PC and am trying to install SL using iatkos s3 v2. But after the apple logo is shown the ball spins in a dark grey back-ground and then it just shuts down on its own. I used the verbose mode and I got the message that the system is calling for restart and then it powers off on its own. I don't understand why this is happening. Please help me! My specs- ASUS P5KPL AM/PS CORE2DUO E7500 4 GB RAM DDR2 ATI RADEON HD4650
  3. Hello, I have a strange ethernet card Intel 82562ve which has the device id 8086:1068 I have tried by adding 0x27dc8086 and 0x10688086 to AppleIntel8255x.kext but there is no change Please help me!
  4. Hello everyone I installed the iAtkos S3 v2 (10.6.3) on my HP 530 notebook. I used the following options- RTC 32-bit EVOReboot SleepEnabler Audio(both) SATA -Intel Chameleon RC5 drivers for USB, ethernet(PRO/100V) etc(I don't remember anything else) I selected all the options for USB There were no options for Intel wifi cards After reboot I got most of the systems working(audio, graphics-qe/ci,trackpad) but my USB devices don't work. At boot it says EHCI could not be loaded due to link fail After searching a lot in forums I found a fix for ethernet(PRO/100V)/82562VE. They said to change the PCIMatch arguments in AppleIntel8255x.kext and add 27dc8086. But I found that my device id is 8086:1068 So I added the same in the said kext and repaired permissions and rebooted. No change. Next I searched for USB fixes. I tried some old IOUSBFamily kexts and installed USBFix 1.3 but no change. Again I tried to search for wifi drivers. My wifi card is Intel 3945ABG(8086:4222). As suggested I installed the iwifi.kext and rebooted. But as soon as my wifi card is identified and the kext is loaded, the processor stops responding and I get a kernel panic. As of now I am trying to reinstall with other settings. I think I should upgrade to 10.6.5 to get USB as I have a USB fix for 10.6.5. Please help me as i am close to getting a perfect system!! UPDATE- I used the VoodooIntel3945.kext and now my wifi card can detect the networks but cannot connect to them. I also used the Intel82566MM.kext and now my ethernet is shown as an option in Network diagnostics but it shows that ethernet failed. As for USB I still don't have any luck.
  5. Hello all! I have finally made it! My wifi card broadcom 4312 now works! I don't know how I made it to. Thanks to mcsmart for the enabler. it didn't work the first time but after one or two restarts while I was repairing permissions for my sound driver I suddenly got a signal and was connected! It works like a bliss! As for my Realtek ALC269 soundcard (device id- 10ec:0269) I think VoodooHDA.kext worked for me! Good Luck to everyone and thanks a lot to all the people who have given me this wonderful opportunity to experiment and enjoy in dark humour! (sarc)Steve Jobs is really an {censored}!
