  1. Audio not working

How about giving us some hardware information? Motherboard or perhaps model of your prebuilt computer? From that we can decipher what the audio chipset is and perhaps point you to the right kext.
  2. Easiest fix I've found: Boot into Windows. Run --> Regedit Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation\ Check if a DWORD (32-Bit) called "RealTimeIsUniversal" exists. If it does, make sure its value "1". If it doesn't make a new DWORD (32-Bit) and call it "RealTimeIsUniversal" and have it set a value of 1. Reboot into OS X. Set the time via time.apple.com. Reboot into Windows. All should be well.
  3. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Disabled Wake by USB in BIOS and the system successfully slept. You were correct, only way to wake was by power button. This works fine, not a big deal for me. Thanks.
  4. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Very very new to DSDT. My board was not in the Auto-patcher. Attached is the send_me.zip. Specs are in my sig. 10.6.8 with legacy kernel with Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5. Anything past that revision causes instant reboot upon selecting the OS X partition. Everything works via a kext/EFI string except for sleep. Instant wake upon sleeping. "Wake reason = UHC1 UHC2 USB4 UHC5 UHC7" according to the kernel log. Hope you can help. If you need any more information, just ask and I'll be happy to help. send_me.zip
  5. I'm not very up-to-date on the OSx86 scene since I've been gone so long but it sounds like Chameleon 2 RC5 r828 is the latest version. I'm currently on Chameleon 2 RC3 PCEFI 10.5 via Hazard Distro. I tried to download and run the pkg for RC5 r828 on the specs below and the system automatically rebooted. I restored back to the previous state (with the RC3 bootloader) so I'm back to square one. Any ideas? I've seen this issue in other topics but I haven't seen an answer, is there like a boot flag I need to run? If you need any extra information, feel free to ask.
  6. Unable to rebuild kext cache

Booting with "npci=0x2000" fixed the "PCI Configuration Begin" hang. Add it to the com.apple.boot.plist to prevent having to type it each time.
  7. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I'm really new to this DSDT thing so bear with me. I updated to 10.6.7 and now I'm having some USB problems. The only ones that seem to be working are the ones in the back, plugged into my printer, keyboard, & mouse. Everything else doesn't seem to getting any power or connectivity. I do have two integrated ports on my keyboard which function just fine however. I was also informed that that I might be able to fix this issue by patching DSDT. I haven't a clue where to start but this seemed like an informative place. I've already ran your "Run Me" so here's my "Send Me". Specs are in my signature. EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. send_me.zip
  8. Mac App Store

Fixed the login error with: sudo mv /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist{,.original} Reboot, created new connection and login was successful. Logged in, clicked on "Solitaire Greatest Hits", Store appeared to be frozen for about a minute until the app started to download. Maybe I shouldn't overclock.
  9. Mac App Store

I'm running 10.6.6 on nawcom's 10.6.0 legacy kernel and everytime I open up the Mac App Store and choose an app to download, it will freeze and end up "not responding". When I attempt to login, I get: "MZFinance.NoGUIDTokenFailureKey_message". My specs are in my sig, do I need to patch something using Marvin's?
  10. nForce LAN driver

Just for future reference for those who need help on this issue: For the Realtek 8211CL (MCP77, 0x076010DE), install the nForce pkg then copy nForceLan.kext onto your desktop and delete the one in S/L/E . Right-click "Show Package Contents" for the one on your desktop and find the Info.plist. Now find the string which states "DisableMSI". Change the following key under it from "false" to "true". Reinstall using one of the various methods (ie. Kext Utility). Reboot and internet will become active EDIT: It seems the driver will stop working after a certain amount of upload data is sent. Anyone know how to fix this problem? EDIT 2: Seems that problem was relevant to "ObsidianX" but during his time, 0.62.12 was the latest and that fixed the problem. With a Google search I was able to uncover 0.62.13 and that seemed to have fixed the problem for good once DisableMSI was set to "true". I've download an entire Ubuntu 10.10 distro and internet is still functional so I'm going to assume this is best driver for this ethernet chip. Here is an upload of my v0.62.13 kext for the MCP77/Realtek 8211CL. Eno, if you'd like this removed PM me or have one of the mods do it. Mirror nForceLAN.kext.zip
  11. Some fixes in VT1708B VIA

Didn't give me sound at all. System Prefs only detect HDMI out so I'm going to try and inject my own dev id. No dice.
  12. iTunes Display

I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and my specs are in my sig. I've imported all of my music from my Windows partition and added it to iTunes on my Hackintosh. iTunes was naturally outdated and it need to update. During the update procedure, the installer had blank screens. What I mean is, it would normally ask you whether you wanted iTunes to organize your music for you or if you'd like to do it. I didn't get that option, all I got was blank screen on the installer with only a "Next" button. This happened on other install windows as well. Next, my library was naturally not organized into the correct albums so I wanted to edit the MP3 tags so everything would fall under the same album. When I right-clicked --> Get Info, on the "Info" tab, it was blank. This happens on everyone single one of my music files as well as on the "Sorting" & "Options" tab. Here's a screen shot: Graphics card is accelerated with QE/CI/All Resolutions using an EFI String. I've tried reinstalling iTunes as well. Any ideas?
  13. VIA VT1708B

I've tried various builds of VoodooHDA to try and get my VIA VT1708B on-board audio working. My stereo speakers are only a 2.1 setup so its not difficult to enable. In my BIOS I have a couple of options pertaining to sound. The entry in the BIOS is "AZALIA AUDIO" which can be set to 5 diferent options: 1) Internal & External Codec w/ Front Panel set to HD Audio 2) Internal & External Codec w/ Front Panel set to AC97 3) Internal Codec 4) External Codec w/ Front Panel set to HD Audio 5) External Codec w/ Front Panel set to AC97. When set to Internal Codec, Windows does not play any sound so I'm assuming that would be my HDMI audio which is not connected. Does anyone have any idea on how to get this working? The farthest I've gone is being able to hear that "bleep" when you move the volume control but nothing else, iTunes & Youtube did not play any sound. That also disappeared upon reboot which was interesting. I'm running 10.6.2 using the Hazard distro. Thanks in advance. Specs in sig.
  14. GT 240 Woes

Whoops I think that's my bad. Try the nvflash.exe located in this download.
  15. GT 240 Woes

Okay. I would assume that anything you did to try to get the graphics card to work properly would conflict with EFI string; try uninstalling anything you added in support of the card.
