1. I see. the driver not loading problem was caused by not having correct framebuffers. "@0,name", Buffer (0x0E) { "ATY,Futomaki" }, and @1, @2, @3 to change to the same framebuffers then the driver loaded correctly, and "model" in system profiler is showing correctly. however this doesn't fix my sleep/wake issue. in my ioreg, I don't see UHC2-8, EHC1 under IOService. only EHCI, EHC2 are there as my USB port. does that mean I don't have these devices? but in my dsdt they are there, what is going on?
2. thank you rampage. My 2 video cards in ioreg are under, RP01/PXSX and PEG0/PEGP, it's a little different than your injection guide. without injecting anything into DSDT, patching the AMD7000.kext and AMDX4000.kext with correct device-id, the card works and accelerated. however, "AAPL,slot-name", Buffer (0x07) { "Slot-1" }, I changed "Slot-1" to "PCIEX1_1" which I got from IORegexplorer, the driver will not load. and in system profiler, it will show whatever I injected into DSDT for : "model", Buffer (0x13) { "AMD Radeon HD 7850" }, I am just trying to understand how it works. do I get values from ioreg and copy them into DSDT? or something else?
3. Hi I used to have P8P67 / 2600K / HD6970 / Apple Cinema Display, system running 10.9, everything was working with dsdt i dumpped with everest under windows. generated ssdt with revogirl's script. iMac 12,1 smbios.plist sleep / wake works just fine. I can use power button to sleep/wake, also wake with keyboard and mouse. it's nearly perfect. recently, I replaced my video card with Two MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB crossfired. and added the device id into retail kext, then video card is working. to make it 'perfect' I also inject rampagedev's 7xxx dsdt patch into my DSDT, in IORegExplorer, under PEG0/PEPG, it show up under display@0. however i'm starting to have sleep & wake problem after this. it looks like it will go to sleep, ether with power button or waiting, however after it went to sleep like 2,3 minutes, the computer will wake up when i press keyboard or mouse, yet the display will not wake up. And I have to power cycle (unplug the power cord from tower) in order to get display back. reset button will reboot the computer but I won't get any video on display. I attached my /Extra..I did some clean up in DSDT.aml, but there are still tons of junks in there, probably not gonna affect anything...what do I need to patch to resolve this problem? Thank you for helping. Extra_12192013.zip and IOReg imac.zip
4. Hi I have a P8P67 / 2600K / HD6970 / Apple Cinema Display, system running 10.9, everything was working. iMac 12,1 smbios.plist I dumped the dsdt with everest under windows, patched it with the patch file came with autopatcher. and generated ssdt with revogirl's script. VoodooHDA for onboard audio realtek kext for the onboard lan video card works OOB sleep / wake works just fine. I can use power button to sleep/wake, also with keyboard and mouse. it's nearly perfect. recently, I replaced my video card with 2 x MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB crossfired. and added the device id into stock kext, then video card is working. however i'm starting to have sleep & wake problem after the the swap. it looks like it will go to sleep, ether with power button or waiting, however after it went to sleep like 2,3 minutes, the computer will wake up when i press keyboard or mouse, yet the display will not wake up. I attached my /Extra, dsdt look messy....what do I need to patch to resolve this problem? Thank you for helping.
5. 1. will try. 2. I use apple cinema display, so brightness is not a problem. however I found that I could use CineBench to do benchmarking. I've tested a few smcbios.plus, iMac 12,1 gave the best result... 3. TrimEnabler doesn't work for me.. 4. OK...
6. Updaed and got a panic said cpu mismatch....restored back with time machine... Kinda need this uodate because my system has flash crash problem...first item on the update's fixed issue
7. Thanks for your input. I have ability to read and understand but this build is my first. just sold my 24" 2.4ghz iMac. the installation method I used is mostly manual, copied BaseSystem, application and mach_kernel and used chameleon on the installer partition, alone with FakeSMC and NullCPUPowermanagement in /Extra/Extensions, to do a fresh install on the partition on the same SSD. after installation I had to copy these 2 kexts to the /System/Library/Extensions to make Lion boot-able. then I extract DSDT and put it in /Extra, I forgot how many problem I solved after this lol (too much infomation in 2 days...) and : I have patched AICPUPM using SpeedStepper v1.2 for Lion 10.7.0 and got rid of the NullCPUPowermanagement; used SleepEnabler to make the sleep/wake working; also a few general patches I found on the net for DSDT to make power button sleep working.. ; and used ##### 3.8.0 to install sound driver, which i'm not sure if it was necessary, didn't check before install it...; and install a realtek Ethernet driver to make ethernet working after wake up from sleep... I think that's it..don't have a good documentation habit lol the reason why I used iMac 12,2 smbios is because I think that's the closest hardware spec to my computer? I don't have to use it but it's nice to see the sys profiler to show the "most" correct info..i don't think this will affect much since the problems i mention exist before I install this smbios.plist from #####, or am I missing something? I don't really want to use tools like ##### to do the work for me, but then I have a small desk and 2 computers on the same desktop made me rush things LOL.. still little confuse about DSDT's script tho....
8. Hi, new guy here. Finally got my P8P67 (rev.3.0) partially working with Lion 10.7. specs(fakesmc+smbios.plist): Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac12,2 Processor Name: Intel Core i7 ~~(i7 2600k) Processor Speed: 3.41 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 4 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 8 MB Memory: 16 GB but the problems are: 1. Some of the usb ports aren't working, I think they are USB 3.0? 2. Not able to use brightness keys to adjust brightness, although I have been using Shades for long time. doesn't bother me much, but, is there anyway to make native brightness working? 3. I have Apple SSD SM128 but TRIM Support is not working for me. 4. for some reason Geekbench crashes everytime...I have a nice computer but I don't know what score can it get? too much ram maybe? report is in attachment. Thanks for any suggestions. GeekBenchCrashReport.txt
