  1. Solving USB problems; USB devices do not mount

Well, hello to everyone...it's been tough to read all these posts, No solution worked for me though. iPhone is recognized under USB tab in System Profiler but nothing happens, it's not recognized in itunes or it doesn't even charges up. So can anyone please provide me any solution? Snow Leopard 10.6.7 software succesfully updated to 10.6.8 No problem in system.kext Everything works fine except iPhone. Other USB ports and devices work perfect. What may be wrong?
  2. OK, hello to everyone... I installed OSX86 with Kalyway on my own machine and even my graphics card works like a charm. No problem with mine. So let's skip to the problem, recently i installed a clean copy of iATKOSv7 to a Sony VAIO of my friend. There wasn't any problem until he decided that he could use a lower resolution which caused the main problem. I installed the RadeonHD.kext(the latest one from here ) and corrected the cursor with <key>EnableHWCursor</key> false thing. And the problem was solved, he could use 1600x900 resolution. Now he accidently changed it back to 1024x780 and the screen became too messy. he can't see anything on screen after login. The graphics card he is using is ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 (i know there are no drivers for this card, just resolution is solved) The question is how can we change our resolution back to 1600x900... we tried to remove the RadeonHD.kext from extensions with safe mode, no go. we tried to use third party appllications from safe mode, no go. we tried to start with "Graphics Mode" thingy, no go. So what can we do? If you need any details please ask me so i can provide them.
  3. [SOLVED]Detailed Info on RADEON HD 4670 PRO Driver

C'mon guys... if you can say 'NO YOU ARE CURSED BECAUSE OF YOUR CARD YOU CANNOT USE IT ON ANY OSX86' this is well appreciated too... -.- thanks anyway
  4. SOLVED! with 10.6.x************************************** Apparently, the flickered boot file in this thread solves the problem. But with a catch. I had to inject -pci1 in com.apple.Boot.plist and had to add the ID of the card (9490) to ATIRadeonX2000.kext/Contents/Info.plist and ATI4600Controller.kext(or something like that)/Contents/Info.plist. That is all i did. QE/CI works perfectly, no problem with any software or any games yet. I used Chameleon RC4 at the first installation and then replaced the boot file if that matters. ********************************************** OK well. Hello everyone. I'm a hackintosh user with these configuration: QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, 2333 MHz (7 x 333) CPU Supports even SSE 4.1 Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G Motherboard 4GB KINGSTON Ram 250GB NTFS OS Partition - 190GB Saving Partition - 60GB MAC OS X86 Partition on first disk 80GB NTFS OS Partition on second disk *HERE IS THE PROBLEM* ATI Radeon HD 4670 Graphics Adapter I have been searching the entire forum for some CERTAIN info about this driver for a month...Nearly Nothing! X says it works with latest natit Y says it can't work Z says something else Many more says it MIGHT WORK with 10.5.7 Anyway thanks to these people who cared about our (the 4670 users) problem and tried to tell something useful...If anybody knows how to solve this driver problem please i would really appreciate a certain result. Now i'd like to share an analysis i got from trying all the ways that i found on the web. --Kalyway DVD 10.5.2(w/ 64bit support kernel, vanilla kernel & standart kernel comes up with kalyway) Normal Status : Only 1024x768 Resolution available and games etc. does not work or works but really sloppy. But if you're just gonna use sound programs (Logic, ProTools, Reason etc...) i think this might be enough. Tryouts on Kalyway: Test #1: I have tried to boot with -s (dunno what it means; I can hardcode hack anything on windows including hexadeicmal data but in mac:i'm nearly zero) then followed the instructions(/sbin/mount - uw ...) of installing the radeon 4850 drivers guide. this led me to a black screen that says 'out of border' in the middle of monitor. Then i tried to solve the problem with another try of booting with -f-v and whoa! back to normal state with nothing changed. Thought that updating the natit would do the thing but it just collapsed the screen Test #1 Result Summary: Installing the 4850 drivers through the guide and installing latest natit.kext(with a kext helper) comes up with an unstable screen state...in bare words just {censored}! Test #2:Tried to update with iATKOS' ati HD driver package. it's easy to do because you can customize your installation to not to install the main part, just the applications so when i selected the ATI HD drivers and installed the update...(it also comes with a program really similiar to bootcamp and it's fun to use ^.^) rebooted the machine. The screen made some flashes and went offline. i'm not sure if the system is working it does not makes any sound but when i click around somewhere the computer HDD indicator lights up.Sometimes it freezes at appleish startup. Test #2 Result Summary: Updating the HD drivers from iATKOS 10.5.7 made the screen go offline but system answers to your clicks on the desktop. I'M NOT SURE BUT THIS MIGHT LEAD TO A SOLUTION! If someone who is better on mac than me tries some commands on this, it might lead to a solution! Test #3:Tried to update with iDeneb...Well actually nothing changes except tiny unimportant things. Test #3 Result Summary:Nothing happens. **DISK WIPED REPARTITIONED AND THEN INSTALLED: --iATKOS DVD 10.5.7(w/ vanilla kernel & standart kernel comes up with iATKOS) Normal Status : Only 1024x768 Resolution available and games etc. does not work or works but really sloppy. But if you're just gonna use sound programs (Logic, ProTools, Reason etc...) i think this might be enough.(same with kalyway) Tryouts on iATKOS: Test #1:followed the instructions(/sbin/mount - uw ...) of installing the radeon 4850 drivers guide. this led me again to a black screen that says 'out of border' in the middle of monitor. Then i tried to solve the problem with another try of booting with -f-v and yes the same...back to normal state with nothing changed. wthout the natit update it opens up at normal state...and you guessed it with update of natit it collapses... Test #1 Result Summary: Installing the 4850 drivers through the guide and installing latest natit.kext(with a kext helper) comes up with an unstable screen state...a very little better then kalyway but of course non-usable. Test #2:Tried to update with iDeneb this one too...Well the same thing with kalyway... Test #2 Result Summary:Nothing happens. --------------------------------------------------------------- This is what i got from my tryouts. if any other way you know just tell me i can test it on my machine...And if you see anything i do wrong just tell me and save me from this nightmare!
