  1. Welcome to the SigmaTel 9200 Driver Initiative!

for the sound with my experience is that you have to install the dell notebook software and then the sigmatel drivers for it the sound card. but i used broadcom and intel drivers for the wifi and chipsets
  2. Welcome to the SigmaTel 9200 Driver Initiative!

most of the people i have talked to on here and in other forums have the most problems with the stac 9200 driver on a dell B130/1300. This is also the model i have, after tons of research and having talked with a Tech from Dell I found out that just the driver wont work on a Windows install. He says that if you want audio to work you have to install the Dell Notebook System Software from their support and drivers website. Then install the driver to correctly get the driver to work.....this sucks. If there is a way to see the configuration files and work around all this stuff maybe port this software to a Intel Mac compatible format then we should be able to get audio in and out working correctly. Tonight when i get out from class ill begin breaking this stuff down and working as hard as i can to get a better driver and a new beta out by the end of the month. can't make any promises since i work 50 hours a week and go to college full time, but ima work my damndest on this damn thing. P.S. Has anyone else updated to the 10.4.8 JaS and had your processor show up as 0Mhz? P.P.S. i love you guys. hahahaha im tierd. P.P.P.S. Sigmatel sold their audio department to IDT.com - so ill have to search around there for more information and stuff as well.
  3. iPod OS X

  6. [How To] ALC882 Sound

this just means you put in a question mark or something thats outside of the <--key> <--string> tags. just go through the plist and search for things in the left hand corner, and make sure all your keys begin and end, which they should by default unless you did some hardcore editing. cheers,
  7. nothing interesting here

vitality - you think you could maybe "leak" the torrent file for this kernel. that way other users will be able to see which hardware works, and which doesn't. kinda make a HCL of sorts. or torrent the code so others can start working on more hardware reliablilty and other features, maybe it would help just a little bit.
  8. nothing interesting here

is there sources avaliable for this?
  9. iPod OS X

yeah, it was more of just wishful thinking. i think the new thing will be developing for the xbox 360. ill have to get one to test on and what not, but i think its more than plausible. just gotta start on learning the processors of the xbox and developing for them.
  10. iPod OS X

if i could afford a 360 i'd love to try it, but being a student and having a {censored} cooking job doesn't pull in the money. but im avaliable for donations hehehe
  11. iPod OS X

    ima make it work damnit.
  12. iPod OS X

Now, i know im probably in the wrong spot of the world, but I was thinking the other day. I have a linux PDA which is a unix based OS stripped completly and put into working form on a small device. An iPod must be capable of this aswell. so from a Mac, the iPod uses the HFS+ File system as does OS X. and the iPod has a large enough hard-drive to be able to install OS X. The only problem i could see with this not working, is user interface. I figure if we could start stripping down an iPod version of OS X if anyone is really interested in this. any suggestions? Your BFF, lostsoftware
