  1. Clover r4318 - No change there since the last good boot
  2. Three separate drives, two with OSX (I use one as a CC backup) and one with windows. I unfortunately can't even get into single user mode, I get the exact same lockup. I'll see if I can boot off of the OSX installation USB drive!
  3. Here's the screens from my boot in chronological order - This is with verbose mode, and (I think) cache cleared
  4. All, was wondering if anyone else had seen this problem - I've had a working 10.13.1 installation since release, booting alongside Windows 10. I restarted into Windows for the first time in a while yesterday, and when I rebooted into OSX, the system hung on startup (Progress bar is approximately 2/3rds full, spinning pinwheel overlaid between the apple logo and bar. In verbose mode, I get through 3 screens of text, and then a solid white rectangular cursor appears in the top left and just stays there) Does any one have any idea of what could have caused this? My CC backup does the same thing

@syscl - any more thoughts on the Haswell-E issue?
  6. Clover General discussion

systemcl - If it's any help the system's I've tested are two 5930ks and a 5960x, all with ASUS mobos. I'm happy to help test any patches or provide debug information!

@slice / @syscl - any more thoughts on reverting the haswell-e changes in 4145/4146? I'm pretty certain the new code doesn't work for a decent % of systems (I've actually tried it on 3 at this point) whereas the old code does. Happy to provide the necessary changes against the latest clover rev!
  8. For anyone else seeing this, my solution was to pull out one of the SLI'd cards and make sure the remaining one was in PCI-E slot 0. I also had to yank all of the drives except for the one I planned on installing 10.13 on and make sure that I rebooted using the desktop install package the installer downloaded (worst. upgrade. ever.)
  9. Daniyo - main issue here is that I don't have any integrated graphics. Haswell-E drops it off, so you have to rely on an external card. I can try pulling one of them and see if I can get it working with just one card installed
  10. Hoping someone can help - I'm currently running a working hackintosh with 10.12.6 but am having a problem upgrading to 10.13. When booting the installer, things seem to be going well until the system stalls on a screen reading "Service only ran for 0 seconds". I've seen references to this on the forum, but only in the context of systems running Intel Graphics combined with nVidia/AMD cards. My system is Haswell-E so doesn't have _any_ Intel graphics, and instead runs two 1080 Ti cards. I'm running an ASUS X99-DELUXE II with a i7-5930k and 2x1060 Ti in SLI, if that helps anyone (Nothing else interesting or exotic attached to the system). I've attached a photo of the error, a video of my entire boot process in verbose mode, and a ZIP of my clover setup (Current config is iMac 16, 1 but I've tried MacPro 5,1 and MacPro 6,1 too) If anyone can help please let me know - this is driving me crazy Video here due to size limit CLOVER.zip Video.mov

@Slice / @ Syscl - confirmed that reverting 4145 + 4146 then re-applying the rest of the revisions works. Here's my code changes (based against r4220) Anyone else with a Haswell-E PM me for my r4220 build - it should work! (Can't upload as it's 12.5mb which is over the 10mb limit) clover_deltas.zip

Alrighty - I've managed to isolate the change, and it actually makes complete sense given my platform - Haswell-E I'm working up to and including r4144 (https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/code/4144/) 4145 + 4146 (https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/code/4145/ https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/code/4146/) appear to switch over to a new form of injecting Haswell-E support and, at least for me, it doesn't work. Slice - is it possible to revert those commits and go back to the old method? I'm going to try and code it up locally, but as mentioned I'm not used to C

qq - Is there a way to find out the revision of edk2 to use with each clover revision? I can build all the way down to r4224 but anything below that errors - I'm guessing my edk2 needs to be downgraded too

Slice - I've managed to get clover to build locally (Had XCode 9 installed, but gcc-4.9.3 requires ~> 8.0) and am doing to do a bisect between 4128 and 4220 to find out exactly what rev my system broke on. Once I've done that, do you mind helping me debug the changes in that revision? I suspect that'll be beyond my working knowledge of C/UEFI
